this condition is mainly due to Vata and Kapha imbalance, which causes dryness and blockage in the hair follicles. This leads to rough, hard bumps on the skin. Treatment focuses on reducing dryness and clearing blockage by using medicated oils for massage (Abhyanga), gentle exfoliation, and internal herbs to balance doshas. With regular care, the skin gradually becomes smoother, but it requires consistency. –Dx: Vata-Kapha dushti (Twak vikara) —internal: 1) Aimil Purodil – 1 tsp BD after food 2) khadirarisht 15 ml twice daily after meal with equal amount of water 3) gandhak rasyan 250 mg twice daily after meal External: 4) Kerala Ayurveda Nalpamaradi Keram – apply & massage (morning) 5) Aimil Exoskin Cream – local application (night) –Advice: Daily oil massage, avoid harsh scrubbing, use mild soap –Duration: 6–8 weeks Follow up after 1 month

Keratosis pilaris This condition is mainly due to Vata–Kapha imbalance causing dryness and blockage in hair follicles (Twak dosha). 1. External care (most important): Daily gentle massage with warm sesame oil or coconut oil (add a pinch of turmeric) before bath Use herbal ubtan (mix besan + turmeric + milk/curd) instead of harsh soap Mild exfoliation 2–3 times/week with oat or rice flour scrub (very gentle) Avoid very hot water → increases dryness 2. Internal support: Take Triphala powder (½ tsp at night with warm water) for detox Include Amla, Neem, and Aloe vera juice (20–30 ml daily) for skin purification Drink enough warm water to reduce dryness 3. Diet Prefer: ghee, fresh fruits, green vegetables, soaked almonds Avoid: junk food, excess fried, cold drinks, very spicy & dry food 4. Lifestyle: Regular oil massage (Abhyanga) Proper sleep (7–8 hrs) Reduce stress (helps balance Vata)
