I've been hypothyroid since age 21, diagnosed after a period of extreme stress. I have been on medication since then. I switched from a synthetic thyroid hormone to the glandular form less than a year ago. I seem to have less anxiety and am sleeping better, although insomnia is still happening enough that I don't feel Ihave fully recovered. My situation in life is not exactly stable, and I'm dependent on my daughter for help with my finances. She is alcoholic. I am working 20 hours a week. When we have a disagreement, which happens just about every time we get together, sleep becomes a problem again. I have an extensive trauma history, beginning in childhood. I'm wondering if there is a possibility that I could recover from thyroid illness. I have begun to take Cordyceps 3 grams a day.
