Questions about Ear, Nose, and Throat Disorders
Nadivrana
I’ve recently developed a deep boil near my lower back, and my doctor mentioned it could be a type of sinus wound or abscess, which I believe is called Nadivrana in Ayurveda. They suggested surgery as one option, but I’d like to explore natural remedies first. I’m curious about how Nadivrana is treated in Ayurveda and whether there are effective alternatives to invasive procedures. From what I’ve read, Nadivrana involves pus formation and can sometimes become chronic if not treated properly. Are there specific Ayurvedic medicines or therapies that can help drain the abscess and prevent recurrence? I’ve come across herbs like neem and turmeric for infections – are these part of the treatment? Does Ayurveda recommend any external applications, like herbal pastes or oils, for reducing swelling and promoting healing? And are there dietary or lifestyle changes that could support the recovery process? If anyone has dealt with Nadivrana using Ayurveda, what worked for you? Did the remedies provide relief, and how long did it take for the wound to heal completely? I’d love to hear about your experience and any tips for managing this condition naturally.
Pushkaramula
I’ve recently been exploring Ayurveda to manage my chronic respiratory issues, and someone recommended trying Pushkaramula as a remedy. From what I understand, Pushkaramula is an Ayurvedic herb with benefits for the lungs and respiratory system, but I’d love to know more about how it works and whether it could be the right option for me. Here’s my situation For the past few years, I’ve been dealing with frequent colds, nasal congestion, and occasional shortness of breath, especially during seasonal changes. These symptoms make it hard to focus on work and exercise regularly. I’ve tried various over-the-counter remedies, but they only seem to provide temporary relief. How does Pushkaramula address these kinds of issues? I read somewhere that Pushkaramula is particularly effective for reducing inflammation and clearing phlegm in the respiratory tract. Does it actually work for conditions like asthma, bronchitis, or seasonal allergies? And how is it typically used—do you take it as a powder, capsule, or in a tea form? Another thing I’m curious about is whether there are any precautions or side effects with Pushkaramula. I have a sensitive stomach and am cautious about introducing new herbs into my routine. Would Pushkaramula be safe for someone like me, or should it only be taken under a doctor’s guidance? Lastly, I’d like to know if Pushkaramula is only for short-term use during respiratory flare-ups or if it can be taken regularly for prevention. Are there specific foods or practices that enhance its effectiveness?

What is a dental dam, and how is it used for protection?
I recently heard about a dental dam, but I don’t fully understand what it is or when it’s used. I know it’s related to dental procedures, but I also read that it’s used for safe oral practices—how does that work? What exactly is a dental dam, and how does it protect against infections? How is it used in dentistry—does it just keep the area dry during procedures, or does it serve other purposes? Also, how does it help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) when used in personal situations? Are dental dams commonly available, or do most people not know about them? How do they compare to other protective methods, and are they comfortable to use? If anyone has used a dental dam before—whether for dental work or personal protection—what was your experience like? Did it work as expected, and was it easy to use?

Nosebleeds
I am 12 years old, often bothered by nosebleeds 3-4 times a week, my blood pressure is normal, the doctor examined me and said that the mucous membrane is thin. I don't use drops. How can Ayurveda help with this?
What are the best Ayurvedic antibiotics for throat infection?
For the past few weeks, I’ve been dealing with a throat infection that just won’t go away. It started as a mild sore throat, but then my tonsils got swollen, and I had difficulty swallowing. I even got a mild fever for a couple of days, and my voice became hoarse. I took regular antibiotics prescribed by my doctor, but the infection came back within two weeks. This keeps happening to me every few months. Every time I take antibiotics, it goes away temporarily, but then after a while, my throat feels scratchy and inflamed again. I’m starting to think that taking antibiotics over and over again is making my immune system weaker instead of solving the actual issue. I know that Ayurveda has natural antibiotics for throat infections, but I don’t know which ones work best. Are there specific herbs or home remedies that can fight throat infections without damaging gut health? I’ve heard about things like turmeric, mulethi (licorice), and tulsi, but I don’t know how to use them correctly. Also, could my recurring throat infections be related to excess Kapha dosha? I’ve noticed that I get a lot of mucus buildup in my throat, especially in the morning. If that’s the case, how can I balance it naturally? Should I change my diet or avoid certain foods to prevent these constant infections? I really don’t want to keep taking antibiotics again and again. If there’s a natural Ayurvedic approach to boosting immunity and preventing throat infections, I’d love to know. Any advice would be really helpful!
Remedies for chronic sinusitis, sore throat and mucus congestion
For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with chronic sinus infections and throat irritation. Every time I catch a cold, it lingers for weeks, and I end up needing antibiotics. My nose feels constantly blocked, and I wake up with phlegm in my throat almost every morning. Sometimes, I even feel pressure around my eyes and forehead, like my sinuses are full but nothing is draining. I’ve seen multiple ENT doctors, and they’ve all given me antibiotics, decongestants, or nasal sprays, but the relief is temporary. As soon as I stop taking them, the symptoms come back. My doctor even mentioned that I might have chronic sinusitis or allergies, but they never really tell me how to fix the root cause—just how to manage symptoms. That’s why I started looking into Ayurveda. Can Ayurveda completely get rid of chronic ENT issues like sinusitis, allergies, and throat infections? Are there natural ways to reduce mucus buildup and improve respiratory health without constantly relying on medication? Also, does diet play a role in this? I’ve heard that dairy can make mucus worse—should I stop drinking milk to improve my symptoms? I really want a long-term solution instead of just treating the symptoms over and over.
Mudra For Hearing Loss
I’ve been struggling with mild hearing loss for a few months, and someone recently mentioned mudras as a natural way to help with it. I never thought hand gestures could make such a difference, but after reading about mudras, I’m really curious. Is there a specific mudra for hearing loss? My hearing loss is mostly in my left ear, and it started after a bad ear infection. Since then, I’ve tried medicines and ear drops, but the improvement has been minimal. I read that mudra for hearing loss can improve ear health by balancing energy in the body. But I’m not sure how to practice it properly or which mudra for hearing loss would work best in my case. Do I need to sit in a certain posture while doing a mudra for hearing loss? How long should I hold the position daily? Also, are there any other practices, like pranayama or diet changes, that can complement the mudra for hearing loss? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s tried this approach and found results.
