While it’s important to manage expectations, as significant vision changes are rare, there’s no harm in supporting your ocular health through Ayurveda.

In Ayurveda, vision issues are often connected with an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, which governs vision among other things. Here are some ayurvedic suggestions:

First, focusing on your diet can be quite helpful. Include rich sources of Vitamin A such as carrots, sweet potatoes, and dark leafy greens; these supports eye health. Consuming almonds soaked overnight - about 5 to 7 - can nourish the nervous system along with supporting vision. Triphala, a traditional ayurvedic formula, can be taken as a supplement or in tea form to cleanse and maintain eye health; you might consider a 1 tsp dose with warm water before bed.

Regarding lifestyle, reducing screen time is important, as you already mentioned. Try the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes look at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This reduces eye strain. Also, consider introducing a daily practice of Trataka, a gazing meditation on a point like a candle flame; this practice helps in increasing concentration and strengthening eye muscles.

For exercises, simple eye rotation exercises can be beneficial. Roll your eyes in circles and then move them vertically and horizontally ten times each. Also, gently cupping your palms over closed eyes and relaxing them can offer rest to the muscles, especially after lot of screen time.

Balancing your lifestyle with care for eye health might help your reliance on glasses but ensure you consult a doctor if there are significant concerns or abrupt changes.
