Please mention Do you have any PCOD/ Thyroid related issues/ any other continues medication?

For acne and related scars we have to rule out the exact reason and treatment should follow according to the cause.

In general for combination skin you can apply

Dealing with acne and residual scarring can be really frustrating, especially with combination skin. Ayurveda emphasizes personalizing treatment based on your individual constitution, or Prakriti, and the imbalances of doshas. In cases of acne, it’s often a Pitta imbalance involved, potentially with some Kapha, given the oily nature of combination skin.

Firstly, focus on balancing your Pitta dosha by incorporating a Pitta-pacifying diet. Avoid hot, spicy, and oily foods. Include cooling foods such as cucumber, cilantro, and coconut. Ample hydration is crucial, so drink plenty of water throughout the day to help flush out toxins.

Herbs like neem and turmeric are highly beneficial for acne caused by excess Pitta. You may prepare a face mask by mixing a pinch of both neem powder and turmeric with rose water to form a smooth paste, applying it onto your skin for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.

Create a soothing skincare routine using natural ingredients. Cleanse your face with gentle herbal cleansers, like chickpea flour mixed with a pinch of turmeric. This can help gently exfoliate the skin without causing irritation. Follow it up with a toner made of rose water to maintain pH balance, while also soothing inflammation.

Apply a moisturizer containing aloe vera gel or a light oil like jojoba oil before bed, which is balancing for all skin types and won’t clog pores. It’s vital not to over-moisturize areas that feel more oily, to prevent further acne.

Regular steam sessions with herbs such as neem leaves or basil can help open the pores and clear away impurities. After steaming, splashing your face with cool water brings your skin to a normal temperature and closes pores.

Practices such as yoga and meditation can help manage stress, which is a known trigger for skin issues. Lastly, try to get proper sleep and maintain a healthy routine, as this plays a big role in skin health.

If the problem persists or worsens, it’s always good to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner personally to dive deeper into your individual needs and get tailored advice based on a comprehensive dosha evaluation.
