Pigmentationand body acne face dull ness - #23015

Having pigmentation from 4 years now, tried multiple cream and tablets prescribed by dermatologist but results were not satisfying.Finally realized food can fix that so it will be helpful if some could give me right food guidance.

Addressing pigmentation from an Ayurvedic perspective involves understanding the balance of doshas and the role of agni. Firstly, focus on consuming a diet that calms pitta. Cooled and soothing food are prefered. Try to include plenty of fresh fruits such as watermelon, pomegranate and pears. These fruits are cooling and can help pacify pitta. Vegetables like cucumbers, asparagus, and leafy greens are also beneficial. Avoid spicy, hot, and oily foods which can aggravate pitta and worsen pigmentation.

Hydration is crucial too, drink sufficient water throughout the day, but avoid ice-cold water which can hamper digestion. Herbal teas like coriander seed tea or fennel tea can also be helpful in reducing heat. Ghee has a cooling effect and can be included in your diet; a teaspoon daily in your meals might be beneficial.

Turmeric, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, can support skin health. Add a small pinch to your food or take with warm almond milk. However, be cautious not to exceed too much as excess can be heating in nature. Manjistha is another herb that is great for skin health; it purifies blood, try taking it as a supplement or in powdered form by mixing half a teaspoon with warm water.

Managing lifestyle is equally important; avoid staying out in direct sun exposure too long can prevent further worsening of pigmentation. Practice stress-relieving activities such as yoga or pranayama; stress aggravates pitta and can lead to increased skin issues.

Incorporating daily abhyanga, self-massage with cooling oil like coconut oil, can improve blood circulation and revitalizes the skin tissues. Consistent bedtime routine is recommended; ensure you get enough restful sleep to support your body’s healing process.

Remember that these things take time. It requires patience, persistence and regularity, and it might be helpful to keep in touch with an experienced Ayurveda practitioner for personalized advice.
