does multani mitti remove acne - #23481

I am really struggling with my skin these days! I've been trying everything for my breakouts, you know? A friend mentioned Multani Mitti, saying it works wonders. I've seen some videos online where people swear that "does Multani Mitti remove acne?" Like, they’re raving about how it's this magical clay that clears up your skin. So I’m wondering if there's actual truth to it? The other day, I tried a face pack with Multani Mitti mixed with yogurt and honey, but I didn't notice any miracle after just one use. I'm super impatient and feeling kinda hopeless because my acne is not only painful but it's left me with scars too! Back in high school, my skin was so clear, and now it feels like I’m fighting a never-ending battle. Do you think I should keep trying with the Multani Mitti or maybe mix in some other natural ingredients? I really want to go the natural route, but I'm not sure if I should just give this up. Any advice? Thanx!

Multani Mitti, also known as Fuller’s Earth, is indeed a traditional remedy that’s been used in Ayurveda for skin health. It’s known for its oil-absorbing properties and can help with acne, especially for those with oily skin. Mulitani Mitti can help unclog pores and remove excess oil, which can be a factor in acne breakouts.

However, it’s important to understand that while Multani Mitti can be beneficial, it’s not a “magical” solution and may not show immediate results. Often, consistency is key here. If you’re using Multani Mitti, try continuing with a regular routine, perhaps twice a week, to give it enough time to work on your skin.

Mixing Multani Mitti with yogurt and honey is a commendable approach. Yogurt has lactic acid which helps in gentle exfoliation, while honey acts as a natural humectant, providing moisture and antibacterial properties. You might consider adding a pinch of turmeric to your mixture for its anti-inflammatory benefits, known in Ayurveda to help soothe active acne and inflammation.

Also, always assess your prakriti (dosha constitution) - for instance, if you have a Pitta imbalance resulting in frequent acne, you might find relief in cooling remedies like rose water alongside the Multani Mitti pack. This can aid in pacifying the fiery Pitta, which often exacerbates skin issues.

Beyond topical treatments, remember that what we consume can reflect on our skin as well. Maintaining a diet suitable for your dosha can be very helpful. For instance, avoiding oily, spicy, and fried foods is suggested for balancing Pitta. Incorporating fresh vegetables, fruits, plenty of water, and herbal teas like green tea or tulsi can support healthier skin from within.

If your acne is severe or painful, it would be wise to consult with a healthcare provider or a dermatologist. Sometimes, acne requires professional intervention in combination with traditional remedies for effective relief. Remember, too, that patience is essential. The skin often takes time to recover and respond to treatments, especially when dealing with scars. Keep track of what seems to work best for you over time.
