I am kinda struggling with my skin, ugh!!! It feels so dull, and I've tried loads of products but nothing seems to work. My friend mentioned something about how natural juices could really help and I thought maybe I should look into that. Like, which juice is best for glowing skin? I read a little about carrot juice and its benefits, but what about beetroot or cucumber juice? One time, I tried a detox juice cleanse for a week, and my skin actually looked a bit better, but then it went back to being lackluster. I keep wondering if I’m missing something. Should I be drinking juice every day for real results? And what about mixing different juices, is that a good idea? If anyone has tried different juices for glowing skin, I would love to know which juice is best for glowing skin based on your experience! Seriously, any help would be great!

In Ayurveda, glowing skin is often related to balanced doshas, healthy agni, and well-nourished dhatus. When we talk about juices that promote skin glow, consider it as more of a complementary approach to a broader Ayurvedic lifestyle and routine. Now, addressing your question, beetroot juice is highly regarded for skin health. Packed with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, it helps purify the blood, improving circulation which may enhance your skin’s radiance. A good daily start would be consuming a small glass, around 100-150ml, ideally in the morning on an empty stomach.

Carrot juice is also beneficial because it’s full of beta-carotene, which converts to vitamin A. This nutrient plays a vital role in skin repair and regeneration, potentially preventing dullness. Having a mixture of carrot and beetroot juice can be beneficial, but be mindful not to over-do it, as excessive consumption of beta-carotene can lead to carotenemia, which temporarily turns your skin slightly orange.

For glowing skin, hydrate well with cucumber juice too. It’s cooling, soothing, and hydrating, which is excellent for reducing inflammation or pitta-related skin issues like redness or rash. You can mix cucumber juice with either carrot or beetroot juice without any adverse effects.

Practically speaking, a juice mix could include: half a beetroot, one or two carrots, and a half cucumber. Have this three to four times a week initially, and observe how your skin responds.

Remember, glowing skin also reflects overall health. Make sure to support it with other practices: consume a balanced diet full of fresh, seasonal vegetables, stay hydrated, get enough sleep, reduce stress, and practice yoga or meditation to maintain inner tranquility. Don’t forget to consider your skin’s unique needs and constitution type - Vata, Pitta, or Kapha - which can further tailor what’s best for you.

Be conscious that just relying on juices might not address the root cause if there’s an underlying imbalance; it might be a good idea to seek consultation for a personalized assessment.
