Sreedhareeyam Akshabeejadi Anjanam - #30844

I am kinda worried about my eyes lately. Like, for the last few weeks, I've been experiencing this weird dryness and itchiness, especially after staring at screens too long. A friend recommended I try Sreedhareeyam Akshabeejadi Anjanam, saying it helped them a lot, but I'm not sure how to use it properly. I've looked online and found conflicting info — some say to use it daily, while others say just a few times a week. Plus, I’ve noticed that my vision gets slightly blurry in the evenings, which freaks me out! Maybe it’s just tiredness? I don’t know. I tried some eye drops from the pharmacy but they only gave me temporary relief. I really want to try the Sreedhareeyam Akshabeejadi Anjanam since it seems more natural, and I hear it’s actually good for strengthening eyesight. Also, should I be doing anything else? Like, do I need to change my diet or practice eye exercises or something? Oh man, I didn't realize how much I took my eyesight for granted until now. Any input on how to use Sreedhareeyam Akshabeejadi Anjanam properly and if it really works would be awesome. Just feeling a bit lost here! Thanks!

When it comes to using Sreedhareeyam Akshabeejadi Anjanam, you can apply it before going to bed. It is best used at night when your eyes get time to rest and absorb the benefits without interference from screens or bright lights. Use a small amount, about the size of a grain, and gently apply it to the inner lower eyelid. Be prepared for a bit of stinging or watering as that’s quite normal. It’s often used 2-3 times a week rather than daily. If you experience excessive discomfort, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner.

As for your symptoms like dryness and itchiness, they might be caused by prolonged screen time which strains the eyes. It’s a good idea to take breaks every 20 minutes when using screens—look away for 20 seconds at something 20 feet away (this is called the 20-20-20 rule). Additionally, make sure your screen isn’t too bright, and use blue light filters if possible.

From a dietary perspective, support your eyes by including foods rich in Vitamin A (like carrots and sweet potatoes), Omega-3 fatty acids (found in flaxseeds, walnuts, and fish), and dark leafy greens which are high in lutein and zeaxanthin. Hydration is also essential, so drink plenty of water through the day.

Vision blurring in the evening could simply be eye fatigue, but it’s important to monitor this. Waiting for things to worsen before seeking help isn’t advisable, so if your symptoms persist or worsen, seeing an ophthalmologist might be prudent to rule out any underlying issues.

Additionally, practice Tratak or candle gazing, which is an Ayurvedic exercise for strengthening ocular muscles and improving focus. This should be done in a quiet, dimly lit room, staring at the flame without blinking as long as you comfortably can, then shutting your eyes to relax them.

These lifestyle and dietary adjustments, alongside proper usage of the Anjanam could support your eye health. However, don’t rely entirely on alternative remedies and consult your doctor if you’re concerned about persistent or worsening symptoms.

For the eye dryness and itchiness you’re experiencing, Sreedhareeyam Akshabeejadi Anjanam can indeed be beneficial. This traditional Ayurvedic formulation helps soothe and lubricate the eyes, offering natural relief from irritation. To use it properly, apply the anjanam typically at night before going to bed. Use a clean fingertip to take a small amount — about the size of a grain of rice — and gently line the inner lower eyelid of each eye. The application may cause slight discomfort or blurring initially, but this is normal as your eyes get accustomed to the formulation.

However, given that your vision occasionally blurs in the evenings, it’s important not to entirely attribute this to fatigue. Consult an ophthalmologist to rule out any underlying issues that may require immediate attention. This step is crucial to ensure there are no serious problems that could impair your vision over time.

Beyond the application of Anjanam, incorporating habitual changes can significantly improve overall eye health. Consider reducing screen time where possible; take breaks every 20 minutes to look away from screens or perform the 20-20-20 rule — looking at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.

Diet-wise, focus on a Pitta-pacifying diet as excessive Pitta can aggravate eye issues. Consume plenty of leafy greens, carrots, sweet potatoes and other vegetables high in vitamin A, lutein, and zeaxanthin. Stay hydrated, as dehydration can worsen eye dryness, and use a humidifier in your workspace if needed.

Practicing eye exercises can also be beneficial. Simple movements like rotating your eyes in clockwise and counterclockwise directions, focusing on distant and near objects intermittently, can enhance your eye flexibility and strength over time.

Balancing your daily routine, paying attention to eye strain, and ensuring a diet rich in eye-supportive nutrients will contribute substantially to maintaining optimal eye health. If symptoms persist or worsen, please prioritize consulting a healthcare provider promptly.
