Hello Kandasamy, do you have diabetes or hypertension ? The symptoms you’re describing—moving images or “floaters,” cloud-like images, and decreased vision—could indicate a potential issue with the retina, such as a posterior vitreous detachment or, in more serious cases, a retinal tear or detachment. This is more common with age and can sometimes be accompanied by flashes of light. It’s essential to visit an eye specialist (ophthalmologist) as soon as possible to get a thorough eye examination. Early evaluation and treatment are crucial to prevent potential worsening of vision and to address any retinal concerns promptly.

The symptoms you’re experiencing, such as seeing moving images, cloud-like shapes, and decreased vision, could be due to age-related changes or an imbalance in Pitta and Vata doshas, which affect eye health according to Ayurveda. These disturbances might point to conditions like drishti dosha (vision disorders) often seen in later stages of life, where dryness, degeneration, and circulation issues impact vision. Ayurvedic herbs like Triphala, which can be taken internally or used as an eye wash, may help strengthen and cleanse the eyes. Amalaki and Shatavari are also supportive in nourishing eye tissues and maintaining vision clarity. Adding Ghee or Triphala Ghrita to your diet could provide nourishment and balance Pitta to support eye health. However, since symptoms like floaters or cloudy vision can sometimes indicate retinal issues, I recommend seeing an eye specialist promptly to rule out conditions like retinal detachment or other structural concerns. This Ayurvedic approach can work alongside any specific treatment recommended by your eye doctor.

It sounds like you might be experiencing something like floaters or a vitreous detachment in your left eye. When you describe seeing images moving with eye movement and those cloud-like visuals, it might point to changes in the vitreous gel inside your eye. Sometimes it settles on its own, but other times, it’s serious.

Really important here: you should absolutely see an ophthalmologist or eye specialist as soon as possible. This isn’t something to just wait out. It could be symptoms of a retinal tear or detachment, which needs immediate attention. I don’t want to scare you but better safe than sorry, right? The urgency to have this checked by professionally can’t be stressed enough.

Now, let’s briefly touch on Ayurveda, as it can be a lovely complementing approach post-consultation. Once you’re cleared or given the goahead by your eye doc, there are a few things you could explore for eye health and general dosha balance.

Diet-wise, it’s helpful to include foods like triphala, an Ayurvedic powerhouse decoction which is great for eye care after doc consultation, of course! Amla, an ingredient in triphala, is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants. You can take it daily with warm water. But triple-check with your overall health profile or diet specifics!

Lastly, give yourself permission to balance that dosha. Eye issues often relate to Pitta imbalance. Cooling your diet with cucumber, cilantro, and mint may help soothe this. Again, lifestyle wise, ensuring reduced screen time can be beneficial and providing rest to your eyes.

Remember, this is all to support any medical guidance you receive, not a substitute. First stop: eye specialist. That’s priority number one. Stay safe!
