Namaste, From your description, excessive fasting and irregular meals may have disturbed Samana Vayu and digestive balance, which can lead to bloating, alternating constipation and loose motions, irregular hunger, acidity, and dryness. When digestion becomes unstable, both Vata and Pitta may fluctuate, causing the symptoms you described. Simple measures that may help: Avoid excessive fasting and skipping meals; try to eat regular meals at fixed times. Prefer warm, freshly cooked and easily digestible food such as rice, moong dal, khichdi, and cooked vegetables. Avoid very spicy, fried, sour foods and also very cold foods, as both can disturb digestion. Drink warm water or cumin–fennel water during the day to support digestion. Maintain proper sleep and avoid late-night eating, which can worsen acidity and digestive imbalance. The main focus should be on stabilizing digestion first, which gradually helps balance both Vata and Pitta. Ayurvedic medicines sometimes used to support digestive balance include: Avipattikar Churna – traditionally used to support digestion and help reduce acidity. Hingvastak Churna – sometimes used to help reduce gas and bloating. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.
