Both Methi and pit are characterized by heat it can lead when over flow of with in your body Dosage Both methi and pitta are heating constituent A tablespoon of methi for a pitta dominant person is quite high if you wish to continue consider reducing it by half teaspoon of soaked seeds or replace Methi with Amla powder or Bhringraj powder Continue the ghee but take it with Amla powder instead of Methi For external cooling apply pure Aloe Vera Gel to the scalp unlike mustard or sesame oil use coconut oil Take one teaspoon of Amla powder with water or ghee every morning

Actually amla powder seems impossible to gulp…I tried taking it but felt nauseous…it’s like eating mud…pls tell me some other way to have it…I know of it’s beneficial properties and would love to incorporate it

–Since you have Pitta predominance, 1 tablespoon of soaked methi seeds daily may be a bit high and could sometimes increase heat, which might contribute to more hair fall. I recommend reducing the dose to ½ teaspoon of soaked methi seeds, 3–4 times per week instead of daily. Cow’s ghee: 1 teaspoon daily is fine and can actually help balance Pitta. If hair fall continues, you may pause methi for 1–2 weeks and then restart at the lower dose. –Rx: 1)Fenugreek seeds – ½ tsp, soak overnight, take in morning 3–4 times/week. 2)Ghee (cow’s ghee) – 1 tsp daily with breakfast. 3)Bhringraj oil – scalp massage 2–3×/week at night. —Diet Advice: Prefer cooling foods (fruits, vegetables, amla, coconut). Avoid excess spicy, fried, fermented foods. —Follow-up: Review after 3–4 weeks or earlier if hair fall increases.

Thanks ! I’m using cold pressed coconut oil to massage my scalp…isn’t bhringraj hair oil heating in nature ??

Not really. In Ayurveda, Bhringraj is usually considered cooling to mildly neutral, not strongly heating.

I’ve already been taking 1 tsp of cows ghee with 1 tablespoon of soaked methi seeds…after noticing increased hair shedding, i reduced soaked methi seeds to 1 teaspoon…still taking it w cows ghee milk only. My question is that if methi seeds r heating in nature, soaking should have decreased the heating potency…also I was always having them w cows ghee which is again cooling in nature…then y was it a wrong thing to have 1 TABLESPOON of soaked methi seeds everyday w cows ghee ?

do nasya with cow ghee 2 drop each nostril 2 times day its best for hairlooss

Dr i have soaked almonds and 2 tablespoons of Pumpkin seeds everyday…sesame seeds i don’t include in my diet as they are again heating in nature…Though I’m a dermatologist by profession, but i follow n believe in Ayurveda strongly… Methi seeds also I knew they r heating, but I was having 1 tablespoon daily thinking that soaking will reduce the heat potency and I was always having them w 1 teaspoon of cows ghee which is cooling in nature, so never thought that I was having a wrong food combination or something.
