Doctors' responses

Namaste, Cavernous sinus meningioma is a tumor near important nerves and blood vessels around the brain, so regular monitoring with your neurologist or neurosurgeon is very important, especially since you are experiencing vision problems. Ayurveda may sometimes be used as a supportive approach to improve overall strength, digestion, and nervous system balance, along with proper medical supervision. Simple measures that may help: Maintain a balanced and nourishing diet rather than a very restrictive one, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and adequate protein. Avoid very processed foods, excessive sugar, and irregular eating habits. Ensure proper sleep, stress management, and gentle physical activity like walking or mild yoga. Nasal therapies such as Nasya are sometimes used in Ayurveda, but they should only be done under the supervision of a qualified practitioner, especially in neurological conditions. Ayurvedic medicines sometimes used to support nervous system health include: Brahmi – traditionally used to support brain and cognitive function. Ashwagandha – sometimes used to support strength and nervous system balance. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

• Kerala Ayurveda Brahmi Pearls Capsules (Brahmi Pearls 40 Nos) — x4 • Kerala Ayurveda Ashwagandhadi Lehyam (Aswagandhadi Lehyam 500 Gm) — x3

From an Ayurvedic perspective such conditions are considered to involve imbalance of vata and kapha affecting the channels of the head and nervous system Nasal therapy known as nasya is a classical treatment used for disorders of the head sinuses and sensory organs but in a condition like cavernous sinus meningioma it should only be done under the supervision of a qualified Ayurvedic physician The type of oil medicine and method of administration must be selected according to your constitution digestion strength and present symptoms Self use of nasal oils or medicines without proper clinical evaluation is not advisable especially when there is a structural condition involving the brain and surrounding structures Diet and lifestyle play an important role in supporting nervous system balance and overall tissue nourishment If the current diet is very restrictive or unbalanced it is important to gradually move towards a more nourishing and easily digestible pattern of eating Warm freshly prepared meals simple grains cooked vegetables moderate healthy fats such as ghee soaked nuts and adequate hydration can support strength while avoiding highly processed foods excessive fasting irregular meal timings and very cold foods Maintaining proper sleep regular routine moderate physical activity and stress management can also support overall wellbeing It is important to continue regular follow up with your neurologist or treating doctor for monitoring the meningioma and vision related symptoms while Ayurvedic care can be considered as a supportive approach under proper medical guidance

Ayurveda can offer supportive care (symptom relief, better tolerance of conventional treatment, improved quality of life, reduced inflammation/stress), but it cannot replace neurosurgery, radiation. No herb or nasal treatment can reliably shrink or cure a meningioma in this location. ✓Internal Medicines Brahmi Ghrita – 5–10 g morning with warm water/milk Saraswatarishta – 10–15 ml + 30 ml warm water twice daily after meals Ashwagandha capsule – 250–500 mg night with warm water Triphala Ghrita – 5 g night with warm water ✓Nasal Treatment (Nasya) Anu Taila or Brahmi Ghrita Nasya – 2 drops each nostril morning (after light face wash) Do NOT do nasya yourself - must be done by a trained Ayurvedic practitioner ✓Diet Warm, freshly cooked, easy-to-digest, mildly spiced meals (small & frequent) Core foods: moong dal khichdi + 1 tsp ghee, well-cooked lauki/pumpkin/carrot, ripe banana/pomegranate, thin buttermilk + roasted jeera Add daily: soaked almonds (4–6), ½ tsp ground flaxseeds Avoid: cold/raw, spicy/sour, fried, processed, excess caffeine, late dinner Goal: stop weight loss, maintain strength, reduce fatigue ✓Lifestyle 10 min Anulom-Vilom + 5 min Bhramari pranayama daily (calms mind, supports cranial nerves) Gentle neck/shoulder rolls (pain-free range) Sleep 10 pm – 6 am strictly, head slightly elevated In India: look for CCRAS-affiliated centers, Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, AVN, AVP In USA/elsewhere: seek NAMA-certified practitioner with oncology experience Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma

Hello, In Ayurveda, brain tumors like meningioma can be correlated with Arbuda/granthi involving kapha dosha, with vata obstruction in the head region. Cavernous sinus involvement can disturb prana vata, affecting vision and nerves Treatment goals -balance kapha and vata -imrove circulation in head and sinuses -support nervous system and vision -reduce inflammation and growth tendency NASAL therapy- key treatment Nasya is very important for disorder above clavicle -Brahmi ghrita= 4 drops of forehead and sinus region morning after mild steam inhalation, gentle massage of forehead and sinus region =clears sinus Channels, improves oxygen and blood supply to brain, suppots optic nerve function Internal medication Brain and nerve support -Brahmi vati= 1 tab twice daily after meals =improves cognitive and nerve health -Shankhapushpi syrup= 1 tsp twice daily after meals =calming and neuroprotective -Ashwagandha churna= 1 tsp with warm milk at night =supports nerve regeneration and reduce stress Anti-tumor / anti-inflamamtory herbs -Kanchanar guggulu= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =commonly used in glandular growths -Turmeric capsule= 1 cap twice daily with warm milk =anti inflammatory and antioxidant -Guduchi ghan vati= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =immune modulator VISION SUPPORT -Triphala ghrita= 1 tsp with warm milk at bedtime -Amla powder= 1 tsp In morning with warm water Diet since your diet is very restrictive/unbalanced, it needs correction Include -warm, freshly cooked meals -ghee small amounts for brain nourishment -whole grains= rice, millet, oats -green vegetables -amla, pomegranate, beerries -turmeric, ginger, cumin Avoid -processed food -excess sugar -deep fried foods -heavy dairy and cheese -cold or refrigerated foods Helpful drinks -turmeric milk -brahmi herbal tea -warm water with ginger Lifestyle and supportive practices -pranayam= Anulom Vilom, bhramari supports brain oxygenation -meditation to reduce stress and vata imbalance -adequate sleep 7-8 hours -gentle yoga avoid pressure on head Important advice -continue regular MRI and neurologist follow up -Ayurveda should be supportive therapy, not a replacement for medical monitoring -Nasya and medicines should be follow properly with regular follow ups Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
