Doctors' responses
Your husband’s reports indicate significant lipid imbalance along with elevated liver enzymes and uric acid, which shows that despite medication, the liver and metabolic system are under stress. Ayurveda views this as a Kapha-Pitta imbalance affecting the liver (Yakrit) and fat metabolism (Medo Dhatu). The approach should focus on supporting liver function, improving fat metabolism, and gently detoxifying without overloading the system. Start with Kalmegh (Andrographis) decoction 20–30 ml twice daily to support liver detoxification, Liv52 or Bhringaraj-based formulations for liver protection, and Triphala churna 1 tsp at bedtime with warm water for bowel regularity and gentle cleansing. Include Guggulu-based medicines, such as Yograj Guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after meals, to help reduce cholesterol and triglycerides. Diet and lifestyle are crucial. Avoid fried, oily, and heavy foods; reduce refined sugar, processed foods, and alcohol. Emphasize cooked vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and light, easily digestible meals. Daily warm water, gentle exercise, and stress reduction through meditation or breathing exercises help stabilize metabolism. With consistent use of these measures, liver enzymes and lipid levels can gradually improve, usually noticeable in 6–8 weeks, alongside better energy and digestion. Regular monitoring with blood tests is essential to track progress.
