Your child’s symptoms of forgetting things frequently, zoning out during conversations, and difficulty focusing indicate a reduced concentration and memory processing capacity, often related to Vata imbalance affecting the mind (Manovaha srotas). Since sleep and appetite are good, the issue is more about attention and mental engagement, not physical weakness. Treatment should focus on improving focus, memory retention, and brain nourishment. Start with Saraswatarishta 10 ml with equal water twice daily after meals and Brahmi syrup or Brahmi ghrita ¼ tsp in the morning. Add Ashwagandha ¼–½ tsp at night with milk to support overall brain function and stability. Daily routine correction is very important. Reduce screen time, especially mobile and TV. Ensure at least 45–60 minutes of physical activity like outdoor play, which directly improves focus and brain function. Encourage activities that require attention like reading aloud, puzzles, or memory games. Before study, give 5–10 minutes of deep breathing or simple meditation, which helps the mind settle and improves retention. Studying in short focused intervals (25–30 minutes) works better than long hours. With consistent support, concentration and memory start improving within 3–4 weeks, and the child becomes more present and responsive in conversations.
