Hello, From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms indicate an aggravation of Vata (dryness and coldness) and Pitta (heat and inflammation), which naturally increase during the senior years and the night. The goal is to nourish the Majja Dhatu (nervous system) and lubricate the mucous membranes. Internal Lubrication: Ensure you are consuming adequate healthy fats like A2 Ghee, which helps soothe Vata-related dryness from within. Abhyanga: Massage your feet with warm sesame oil before bed; this grounds Vata and improves sleep quality. Hydration: Sip warm water throughout the day rather than cold water to keep the channels open and moist. For Dry Eyes (Netra Shushka): Itheephaladi Choornam: Mix 1 teaspoon with a little honey or warm water at bedtime. It supports vision and reduces Pitta-related dryness. Sunetra Eye Drops (Regular): Apply 1 to 2 drops in each eye twice daily. This herbal formula provides cooling relief and long-lasting moisture. For Dry Mouth (Mukha Shosha): Kshirabala Tailam (101): Use 2 to 3 drops for Nasya (nasal instillation) in each nostril in the morning. This nourishes the head region and helps stimulate oral secretions. Arimedadi Thailam: Use 1 tablespoon for oil pulling (Gandusha) for 5 to 10 minutes every morning on an empty stomach to strengthen oral tissues. General Rejuvenation: Chyavanprash: Take 1 tablespoon every morning. It is a potent Rasayana that balances both Vata and Pitta while deeply hydrating the body’s tissues.
