This headache appears due to imbalance of Vata and Pitta doshas. Vata disturbance affects sleep and causes early morning headaches, while Pitta increase leads to heat-related headaches, especially in summer and with acidity. Poor sleep and digestion are maintaining the cycle. —rx 1) Draksharishtam – 15 ml BD after food 2) Avipattikar Tablet – 1 tab BD after food 3) Brahmi pearl cap– 1 cap BD after food 4) Ksheerabala 101 capsule – 1 HS 5) Anu Taila – 2 drops each nostril early morning (Nasyam) ----Advice: light dinner, avoid heat/sun exposure, improve sleep routine. -Early light dinner (7:30–8 pm ok) but avoid spicy/sour food Warm water only, avoid cold drinks Avoid direct sun exposure (use head covering) Reduce screen exposure at night Warm milk with pinch nutmeg at bedtime if tolerated ----Follow-up 15days review for response If headaches persist at night → evaluate BP + sleep disorder
This pattern of headache (midnight, early morning, and with sun exposure) usually indicates pitta aggravation with acidity and disturbed sleep. Your digestion and sleep disturbance are contributing factors. Keep dinner light and early (which you are doing). Avoid spicy, sour, fried, and late-night eating. Do not stay awake late. Reduce screen exposure at night. Stay hydrated but avoid very cold water. Protect your head from direct sun exposure. At home, you can apply a little coconut oil on scalp and soles before sleep. Drinking warm milk at night can also help calm the system. Sutshekhar Ras – 1 tablet twice daily after food Brahmi vati – 1 tablet at bedtime Avipattikar tablet – 1 tablet before dinner This will help reduce acidity, calm the mind, and control headache frequency. If headaches remain severe or increase, further evaluation is needed to rule out migraine or other causes. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
