I've suffered with from vaginal dryness since my hysterectomy in 2005 nd now it's even worse in menopause. Conventional medication doesn't work nd neither does hormone therapy. What herbs will help to heal this problem please?

Managing vaginal dryness post-hysterectomy and during menopause involves addressing the decline in Estrogen levels, which Ayurveda correlates with an increase in Vata Dosha and a depletion of Rasa Dhatu (body fluids/plasma). Take the prescribed medicines consistently and you will see improvement soon . But you have to wait a little to see results because ayurveda works on root causes unlike modern medicine which only have symptomatic relief. The Dos • Drink adequate lukewarm water throughout the day. • Incorporate healthy fats like A2 Ghee, olive oil, or coconut oil into your diet to provide internal lubrication. • Consume foods naturally rich in phytoestrogens, such as soy, flaxseeds, sesame seeds, and fenugreek. • Sweet and Juicy Fruits: Prioritize pomegranates, grapes, and melons to nourish the Rasa Dhatu. • Oil Massage: Practice regular Abhyanga (body massage) with warm sesame oil to calm Vata and improve overall circulation. The Don’ts • Limit tea and coffee, as they are diuretics and can increase dryness. • Avoid excessively pungent, bitter, or astringent foods (like crackers, dry snacks, or heavy chilies) which aggravate Vata. • Avoid using scented soaps or chemical-based washes in the intimate area, as these strip away natural moisture. • Manage stress through Pranayama (like Nadi Shodhana), as high cortisol levels can further deplete hormonal balance.

Hello madam. Vaginal dryness is one of the common symptom experienced post hysterectomy. it is likely due to reduction of oestrogen. As per Ayurveda there is imbalance of vata dosha. You can make the following diet changes: Include healthy fat like ghee, olive oil, nuts like walnut, almond, raisin etc Avoid food like tea, coffee,aimda, bakery products. Indulge in oil massage regularaly with Ksheerbala oil Milk + 1 spoon of ghee can be taken regularly. Include a a spoon of Satavari with a glass of milk. You can place Yoni Pichu( tampon)dipped with shatavari ghrita with for 10 to 15 minutes. Consult for personalized diet plan

Shatavari ghrita Yoni pichu. Soak a sterile cotton swab/tampon. Insert for 20–30 minutes, preferably at bedtime. Triphala churna 1 tsp in 4 glasses of water.
