Your symptoms may be related to Vata aggravation after stroke along with chronic gas/bloating. Ayurvedic treatment: Hingwashtak Churna 1/2 tsp with first morsel of food twice daily. Yogaraj Guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after food with warm water. Brahmi Vati 1 tablet at night after food. Ksheerabala Taila Gentle massage on scalp, face, neck, and shoulders daily. Continue Triphala Churna only in small dose: 1/2 tsp at bedtime with warm water. Excess dose can increase dryness and Vata. Diet: Avoid cold foods, dry foods, excess tea, and late-night eating. Use warm soft food, ginger, ajwain, jeera, and ghee.
After stroke, muscle tightness and stiffness can happen due to nerve and muscle imbalance, and gas/bloating can further aggravate Vata symptoms in the body. Avoid cold foods, dry foods, and irregular meals. Continue warm, soft, easy-to-digest food. Since you are already taking Triphala daily, avoid taking excess dose if motions are becoming loose or weakness increases. Morning stiffness can improve with gentle massage and warmth. At home, apply warm sesame oil or Mahanarayana taila over head, neck, and face area gently, followed by mild warm fomentation. Slow breathing exercises and regular sleep timing can also help reduce tightness and mood fluctuations. Yograj Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after food Ashwagandha capsule – 1 capsule at bedtime Hingwashtak churna – ½ teaspoon with first bites of meals for gas This may help reduce muscle tightness, improve Vata balance, and support digestion gradually. Continue your prescribed stroke medicines regularly and do not stop them. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
