Hypersalivation - #21473

Sir i have suffering from hypersalivation from six mnths.. Mouth get full of water whole day. I have tried many doctors and medicines What wil be the best medicine for this? Please help I am very much frustrated with this.

According to Ayurveda, excessive salivation could be a result of an imbalance in the Kapha dosha. It’s essential to pay close attention to your diet and lifestyle to bring about balance.

Firstly, examine your diet. Reduce the intake of heavy, sweet, oily, and cold foods that may increase Kapha. Opt for lighter foods; include more warming spices like ginger, cumin, and black pepper. These spices can help to stimulate the digestive fire, or Agni, which inturn can reduce excess saliva production. Avoid dairy products, especially curd and cheese, as they can be Kapha-increasing.

Drink warm water throughout the day. It aids digestion and can help balance your dosha’s. Avoid cold drinks and ice-cold food items, as they aggravate Kapha.

Herbs like Triphala can be beneficial as they help in detoxifying the body and improving digestion. You can take Triphala powder with warm water at night. Haritaki, another component of Triphala, is particularly effective in reducing Kapha dosha.

Since Lifestyle also plays a crucial role. Engage in regular physical activity to improve circulation and reduce Kapha. Practicing yoga, especially asanas like Surya Namaskar, can be beneficial.

Consider incorporating Pranayama practices like Kapalbhati, as it helps in clearing excess Kapha.

Furthermore, stress can sometimes contribute to hypersalivation, so looking at stress-management techniques like meditation might offer some relief.

If these approaches don’t bring relief within a few weeks you should consult an Ayurvedic Practitioner for a more personalized treatment plan. It’s important to ensure that there’s no underlying medical reason requiring specialized care.
