Elevated IgE levels in a young child can point towards allergies, which are often connected to imbalances in the doshas, especially an excess of Pitta and Kapha. The itching and blackening of the skin suggest heat and toxins in the body, while respiratory issues often relate to Kapha disturbances. While the homeopathy approach hasn’t been effective, integrating some specific Ayurvedic remedies could help.

First, consider Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia), a traditional remedy known for its immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory properties. Offer a gentle decoction made by boiling 5 grams in a cup of water, reducing it to half, and straining. Give a small amount, like a teaspoon, once a day. Another herb to include is Neem (Azadirachta indica), which helps purify the blood and reduce skin issues. For this, soak a pinch of neem powder in warm water overnight and strain it the next day. Use a few drops of this infusion topically on itchy areas – dilute further to avoid irritation.

Kapha balancing spices like turmeric and ginger are vital. Small amounts of turmeric can be mixed into the child’s diet – about a pinch daily. Ginger can also be added to foods to improve digestion and reduce congestion.

Ensure dietary adjustments, focusing on warm, light foods, avoiding dairy and cold foods which can aggravate Kapha. Also, try to keep the child away from immediate allergens identified.

For the blackening of the skin, coconut oil massages may be beneficial. Use a light touch to massage the skin with coconut oil before bath time, as it has cooling and moisturizing properties.

In cases of serious respiratory problems or severe skin reactions, consult with a healthcare provider immediately as ongoing medical oversight is essential for any condition affecting breathing or significant skin changes.

Managing high IgE levels in a child with skin and respiratory issues can be challenging, and it’s important to adopt an approach that considers his overall constitution and lifestyle. In Ayurveda, these symptoms may be related to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly an exacerbated Pitta or Kapha.

Firstly, focus on diet. Avoid foods that could increase Pitta, such as overly spicy, oily, or fermented foods. Instead, incorporate cooling and calming foods like cucumber, zucchini, green leafy vegetables, sweet fruits like pears and apples (maybe best cooked), and adequate fluids like coconut water. For Kapha, reduce heavy, cold, or processed foods. Small meals spread throughout the day can help maintain balanced digestion (agni), crucial for overall health.

Consider including herbs in his routine, but always consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting. Brahmi and Licorice (Yashtimadhu) can help boost immunity and soothe inflammatory symptoms, although dosage needs to be child-appropriate.

Ensure his skin is moisturized with a light, non-irritating oil like coconut or sesame oil. It’s vital to avoid artificial skin products which may worsen itching or discoloration. Bathing him with neem-infused water could also help—boil some neem leaves in water, let it cool, and use this for his bath.

Respiratory issues may be eased with steam inhalation using mint leaves or a diluted eucalyptus oil, but this should be done carefully and under supervision to ensure the child’s comfort and safety. Regularly clean and dust the home environment to minimize allergen exposure.

Lifestyle adjustments, such as ensuring regular physical activity appropriate for a child’s age and breathing exercises like simple Pranayama, can help improve respiratory control and reduce symptoms.

It’s imperative to seek urgent medical care if symptoms escalate or new ones emerge. Collaborating with both modern and traditional healthcare experts could provide a balanced and effective treatment plan tailored for the child.
