Why my stomach always disturbed? - #1262

I am experiencing stomach ache, alternately constipation and loose motion. I also have anxiety about health. I sometimes experience sleeplessness for past 3 to 4 years

Let's dive into this a bit. This pattern you're describing could be due to an aggravated Vata dosha affecting your digestive system, causing irregular bowel movements. That same Vata upset can also mess with your sleep (since Vata affects the nervous system). And trust me, it’s not uncommon for these things to snowball into anxiety. So here's what ya can try:
1. **Dietary Adjustments**: Focus on warm, cooked, and easily digestible foods. Stews or soups with calming herbs like cumin and fennel might just be your new best friends. Avoid raw, cold, or dry foods (like salads, crackers), which can worsen Vata imbalance. And cut back on caffeine, it can bother Vata too.
2. **Daily Routine**: Consistency is key here. Try and eat at the same times each day. Following a bedtime routine (like taking a warm bath) can signal the body it's time to unwind. Sleep and wake up at similar times, every day. It's surprisingly grounding.
