I’ve tried a lot of different things – from probiotics to prescription meds – but nothing seems to be working long-term. First off, let’s focus on some practical things. Ginger tea, which is easily available, can become a magical daily ritual. Start the day with a warm cup – not only will it ignite your agni, it can give relief from bloating. But, don’t boil it too much, just steep it for about 5 mins. Trust me, you don’t want ginger tea getting bitter on you.

Next, let’s talk Constipation. Think warm, oily, and fibrous. Cooked vegetables, whole grains like brown rice can keep things moving. Small amounts of ghee in your food, yeah, I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it lubricates the intestines, making passage smoother. Try having a teaspoon of ghee with warm milk before bedtime.
