Given your persistent gastrointestinal issues, weight loss, and the stress surrounding your eating habits, it’s essential to adopt a holistic approach in Ayurveda to restore balance and promote healing. Start by incorporating Ginger into your daily routine, as it aids digestion and helps alleviate cramps; you can consume ginger tea made with fresh ginger slices boiled in water. Triphala, a traditional Ayurvedic formulation, can help regulate bowel movements and improve digestive health. Taking 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder mixed in warm water before bed can be beneficial. Additionally, consider Ajwain (carom seeds), which can aid in relieving gas and bloating; you can chew a small pinch after meals or steep it in hot water to make a tea. Ensure to include easily digestible foods in your diet, such as khichdi (a mixture of rice and lentils), boiled vegetables, and soups. Staying hydrated with warm water or herbal teas is crucial to support your digestion. Practicing gentle yoga or meditation can also help manage stress and improve your overall well-being. Given the complexity of your condition, continuous support from a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner is advisable to customize your treatment plan and monitor your progress closely.
Hello Kavya , I can understand your agony but can you please provide more information- 1. How is your appetite and stools currently. 2. What symptoms do you have right now 3. How long you have the symptoms for and how did it exactly start? 4. Also, how is your sleep and if any stressful issues in life in general.
It sounds like you’re dealing with a lot, and I really empathize with the challenges you’ve been through. It’s no joke when it feels like nobody can figure out what’s going on. So here’s my take based on Ayurveda:
First thing, it sounds like your Agni, or digestive fire, might be out of whack. In Ayurveda, when Agni is weak or irregular, it can cause all those symptoms you mentioned. Let’s start by focusing on your diet and lifestyle, cause they play a huge role in balancing Agni.
Please don’t stress too much about food. Yeah, it’s tough, but stressing over meals can make digestion worse. Try including warm, easily digestible foods. Stuff like cooked veggies, soups, and stews are great. Avoid raw, cold, or very heavy meals for now. Maybe start with small, frequent meals.
Also, spices like ginger, cumin, and fennel are gentle and can kind-of “wake up” your Agni. Think ginger tea or adding cumin seeds to your food. Give that a shot. Sip warm water throughout the day to keep the digestive system flowing.
Since stress seems to be a factor, meditation or breathing exercises might help. Even 10 minutes a day can calm your mind and improve digestion over time. Check out some guided meditations online if you’re new to it.
You mentioned losing weight—I imagine it’d be good to incorporate nourishing high-calorie foods like ghee. A teaspoon of ghee in your rice or warm milk could give energy without overwhelming your digestion.
For the pain and cramps, gentle yoga like a short evening routine could relieve tension in your stomach area—particularly poses that soft stretches or like Pawanmuktasana (wind releasing pose).
But hey, since your weight’s dropped significantly and you had severe pain that brought you to the hospital, don’t stop with standard medical care. Keep following up, it’s essential to rule out or treat any conditions that need immediate attention. Ayurveda complements but doesn’t replace medical advice.
Try these simple tweaks for a few weeks. It might not shift everything overnight, but hopefully bit by bit, you’ll find some relief. And reach out if things don’t get better, give it time but trust your instincts too!
