Carbuncle - #17879
About ten days ago, I noticed a painful lump on the back of my neck. At first, I thought it was just a pimple or a small boil, so I ignored it. But within a few days, it got bigger and became extremely red and swollen. Then, multiple small boils formed around it, all filled with pus. It’s really painful to touch, and even moving my neck feels uncomfortable. I looked it up online and found that it’s called a carbuncle – basically, a cluster of boils that form deep in the skin. A doctor I visited said it’s an infection and gave me antibiotics, but I don’t see much improvement yet. The carbuncle is still there, and some parts have started oozing pus, which has a bad smell. I’m also feeling a little feverish, and my body is weak. I have diabetes, and someone told me that people with high blood sugar are more likely to get a carbuncle. Now I’m worried that this might keep coming back. I’ve heard that Ayurveda has natural ways to purify the blood and treat skin infections. Is there any Ayurvedic remedy that can help this carbuncle heal faster? Should I be applying anything externally, like herbal pastes or oils? Also, is there a way to prevent carbuncle from forming again? If this is related to my diabetes, does that mean I need to change my diet too? I really don’t want to rely on antibiotics every time something like this happens. If Ayurveda can help in a natural way, I’d rather follow that approach. How long does it usually take for a carbuncle to go away with Ayurvedic treatment? And do I need to visit an Ayurvedic doctor in person, or can I try some home remedies first?
