varicocele - #18014
A few months ago, I started feeling a dull ache in my left testicle, especially after standing for long hours or working out. I ignored it at first, thinking it was just muscle strain, but the discomfort kept coming back. Recently, I felt some sort of swelling or lump above my testicle, which freaked me out. I finally went to a doctor, and after an ultrasound, they told me it’s varicocele. I had never even heard of varicocele before, and the doctor explained that it’s basically enlarged veins in the scrotum, kind of like varicose veins but in a sensitive area. He said it’s common and mostly harmless, but in some cases, it could affect fertility. That part really scared me because my wife and I are planning to have kids in the next year or two. The doctor suggested surgery if it gets worse, but I really don’t want to go for surgery unless it’s absolutely necessary. I started looking into Ayurveda to see if there are natural treatments for varicocele. Does Ayurveda offer any herbal remedies or therapies to improve blood circulation and reduce swelling in the veins? I read that certain herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari are good for male reproductive health, but do they actually help with varicocele? Also, are there specific lifestyle changes that could help prevent it from getting worse? One thing I’ve noticed is that the pain gets worse when I sit for long hours, especially during work. Could poor posture or lack of movement be contributing to my varicocele? Does Ayurveda suggest any specific yoga poses or exercises to help with this condition? I really want to avoid surgery if possible and try a natural approach first. Has anyone successfully treated varicocele with Ayurvedic methods? How long does it take to see improvement, and are there any dietary restrictions I should follow?
