For the last few weeks, I’ve been dealing with this uncomfortable burning and itching down there, and it’s driving me crazy. At first, I thought it was just a mild infection that would go away on its own, but it didn’t. I finally went to the doctor, and they told me it was a bacterial and fungal infection together. They prescribed clindamycin & clotrimazole vaginal suppositories, and I’ve been using them as directed. It’s been about five days, and while the itching is slightly better, I still feel a weird discomfort, and now there’s a different kind of discharge. I don’t know if it’s from the medicine or if the infection isn’t fully gone. This isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue like this. A few months ago, I had a yeast infection, and before that, I had bacterial vaginosis. It feels like my vaginal health is completely out of balance, and I don’t understand why. I’m wondering if there’s something deeper going on, maybe my body is too acidic, or my immunity is weak? Could Ayurveda help me get to the root of this instead of just treating it every time it happens? I don’t want to keep using clindamycin & clotrimazole vaginal suppositories every few months if this keeps coming back. I’ve read that Ayurveda has ways to balance vaginal flora naturally. Are there herbs or lifestyle changes that can help prevent this from happening again? Should I change my diet? I eat a lot of sugar and dairy - could that be making the infections worse? Also, is there a natural alternative to clindamycin & clotrimazole vaginal suppositories that actually works for both bacterial and fungal infections?
