🌿 What You Are Taking 🌿 Neem (Azadirachta indica) Strong blood purifier Very cooling Strongly reduces Pitta & Kapha Can aggravate Vata if taken long-term or in high dose 🌿 Manjistha (Rubia cordifolia) Excellent for skin & fungal issues Blood purifier Improves lymphatic drainage Also slightly drying in nature 🌿 Vraddhashok Taila (external oil) Usually safe externally, but: If pores blocked Or skin already inflamed It can increase eruptions. ❗ Why Pimples + Severe Itching May Be Happening After 2 months of: Neem (dry + bitter) Manjistha (blood moving + drying) Strict Ayurvedic diet Possible reasons: 1️⃣ Excessive Drying → Vata aggravation Dry skin = itching Vata imbalance = scattered pimples 2️⃣ Pitta aggravation If dose high → internal heat → itching + red eruptions 3️⃣ Allergic reaction Especially if itching is: Whole body Severe Disturbing sleep With red rashes This is NOT detox. Detox does not last 1 month continuously with severe itching. 🚨 Important Question Are the pimples: Red and burning? (Pitta) Skin-colored and itchy? (Vata) Pus-filled? (Infection) What I Suggest Immediately 1️⃣ Stop Neem for 10–14 days Neem is very strong for long-term use. 2️⃣ Continue only Manjistha (lower dose) Once daily instead of twice. 3️⃣ Add Internal Cooling + Balancing Guduchi (Giloy) – 500 mg twice daily Or Sarivadyasava 10–15 ml with water after meals These balance Pitta without drying too much. 4️⃣ For Severe Itching Haridra khanda 1 tsp twice daily OR Take plain turmeric milk at night 5️⃣ Externally Stop oil temporarily for 1–2 weeks. Instead: Apply coconut oil (plain) if skin very dry OR Aloe vera gel if inflamed Very Important In Ayurveda: ✔ Detox reactions are mild and short ❌ Severe itching for weeks is imbalance Your therapist calling it “cleaning” for 1 month is not classical understanding.
Hi dear, aside from the medications mentioned, do you take anything else? How do you take these medications, and how often, and with what? Have you visited an Ayurvedic doctor before starting this? If yes, either reach out to them since they know your full case history or reach out here with your full history and photo of your said fungal lesions and new lesions. also try stopping those medicines for a few days and watch for any changes in your symptoms. If you notice something, go for an IgA to check for allergic reactions
Hello, , aside from the medications mentioned, I don’t take anything else. I take the neem and the MAnjista mornings and evenings on empty stomach. Have you visited an Ayurvedic doctor before starting this- I did and I changed all my diet to pitta diet. I have a close connection with my therapist, she says its a cleansing process, is that possible for so long?
BALANCES PITTA WITHOUT OVERDRYING. Good for fungal tendency 1-01 after meals
Hello I am glad you asked this instead of just continuining and assuming it as a detox Severe, constant itching for more than 4 weeks is not something to ignore You are having Pimples Itching all over the body IMPORTANT TO KNOW See in ayurveda, a mild skin flare for few days can sometimes occur when rakta is being corrected But - Severe itching -Whole body involvement -Persistent 2-3 weeks This suggests more of pitta aggrevation and allergic reaction Neem is vey drying and cooling Manjistha is strong on rakta MY SUGGESTION FOR YOU 1.Immediately stop neem for 7-10 days 2.Reduce Manjistha to once daily ( not twice) 3 stop the oil temporarily if itching worsens after applying Observe for 5-7 days HOW TO CALM THE ITCHING NOW - Take Guduchi juice once daily -Drink Coriander seed water ( soaked overnight, boiled and cooled) -Apply coconut oil instead of medicated oil -Take 1 tsp ghee daily For now Avoid Spicy food Fermented food Sour items Excess citrus Excess aun exposure IMPORTANT Detox is meant to feel you - lighter -Better digestion -Gradual skin improvement And not constant suffering Wishing you a good health 😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

HELLO, In Ayurveda, mild and temporary aggravations can occur when starting treatment. But -severe itching -persistent symptoms beyond 2-3 weeks -widespread eruptions -symptoms worsening instead of gradually improving These are more consistent with drug reaction or aggravated dosha, not a simple cleansing process WHAT MAY BE HAPPENING 1) PITTA AGGRAVATION Both Neem and Manjistha are -bitter -cooling but strongly blood cleansing -pitta reducing in small doses However, in some individuals- especially with -sigificant dietary changes -gut sensitivity -pre existing dryness -or excessive dose They may disturb vata-pitta balance, leading to -itching -rashes/pimples -skin hypersensitivity -generalised irritation 2) POSSIBLE ALLERGIC OR DRUG REACTION Neem especially can cause -skin eruptions -itching -Hypersensitivity reactions in some individuals If itching is severe and constant, this must be ruled out 3) GUT AGNI DISTURBANCE You mentioned significant diet changes sudden dietary shifts + bitter herbs can -reduce digestive fire -produce ama (metabolic toxins) -ama in blood tissues-> skin eruptions and itching This is different from "cleansing. This is improper metabolism IMPORTANT : THIS IS NOT CONSIDERED NORMAL A detox reaction -is mild -lasts a few days to 1-2 weeks -gradually settles Yours -severe -constant -4 weeks -> This suggest treatment mismatch or intolerance WHAT YOU SHOULD DO NOW 1) STOP NEEM AND MANJISTHA TEMPORARILY (at least 10 days) Do not abruptly restart until symptoms calms 2) STOP VRADASHOK TAIL OIL FOR NOW -topical oils can worsen itching if there is internal pitta aggravation IMMEDIATE RELIEF MEASURES INTERNAL -Coriander seedeater soak 1 tsp overnight, boil, drink cool -guduchi decoction 20ml -amla juice diluted EXTERNAL -oat meal bath -sandalwood paste if no allergy -coconut oil light application if dryness AVOID -spicy food -fermented food -fried food -excess sour food -excess salt If you develop -swelling of lips or face -difficulty breathing -fever -oozing lesions -rapid spreading rash Seek medical care urgently LONG TERM AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT FOR FUNGAL + SKIN ISSUES True fungal treatment in Ayurveda often focuses on -correcting digestion first -mild blood purification -supporting gut -not aggressively detoxifying BETTER SEQUENCE WOUND BE -digestive correction -mild blood purification -local antifunal management -rasayana phase Jumping straight into strong bitter herbs sometimes backfires DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU
Thank you so much

Namaste, Severe itching and pimples for more than 4 weeks is not something to ignore. Sometimes mild changes can happen when starting new medicines. But severe, constant itching all over the body for many weeks is usually not just a “cleaning process.” It may be: Body not tolerating the herbs Reaction to neem or manjistha Oil not suiting your skin Sudden major diet changes First step — do not panic. But you should stop the medicines temporarily and observe for a few days. If itching reduces after stopping, then it was likely a reaction. Keep your diet simple. Avoid very spicy, oily and processed food. Drink enough water. Do not scratch the skin. If rash increases, swelling appears, or itching becomes unbearable, consult a doctor immediately. Not every skin reaction is detox. Sometimes the body is telling that something is not suiting you. It is better to take proper consultation and adjust treatment instead of continuing the same medicines blindly.
Yes ,in most chronic skin fungus cases treated with strong internal cleansing herbs, a temporary worsening (called vikriti aggravation) is common and expected before improvement begins. It is not an allergy , it’s the body cleansing. What to do right now (do NOT stop everything abruptly) ✓Reduce dose temporarily (next 7–14 days) Neem powder: reduce to once a day (morning only) Manjishtha: reduce to once a day (evening only) Vradashok Tail: apply very thin layer every alternate night only ✓Add strong cooling & anti-itch support (start today) Haridrakhand – 5 gm at night with warm water Praval Pishti – 250 mg twice daily with cold water Aloe vera gel (pure) – apply liberally on itchy areas 3–4 times/day ✓External relief Neem oil + coconut oil (1:4) – very thin layer on affected areas twice daily Cold milk compress – dip clean cloth in cold milk → place on rash 10 min 2–3×/day ✓Diet & lifestyle Avoid: spicy/sour, fried, fermented, dairy at night, excess salt, jaggery/sugar Eat: thin moong khichdi + little ghee, boiled lauki/pumpkin, pomegranate, thin buttermilk + roasted jeera Warm water sip all day (2.5–3 L) No scratching — pat gently or use cold compress Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma
Having pimples and itching all over the body, indicates some allergic reactions, so need to stop. For nail and skin fungus Gandhak rasayan 1-0-1 after food with water Kamdudharas 1-0-1 after food with water Can continue mahamanjistadi kadha 15 ml twice daily after food with water. Apply karanj oil on affected skin area twice daily. Avoid nonveg food.
