I need help with the stomach ulcer that gives me severe headaches when I eat certain foods - #19786
I was diagnosed of stomach ulcer 2 years back but forgot the exact type. And it was always accompanied by severe headaches on my forehead, lightheadedness, Claudy vision, vertigo if i take any medication for the headaches it gets even severe but if i take ulcer treatment like Omeprazole it subsides. I usually get the headaches when I eat raw groundnut, mango fruit, boiled yam, sip garri, etc. now I take the Omeprazole it seem not to be working. I need help please.

Hello If anyone suffering from severe gastritis or stomach ulcer they will have headache as there will nerve connecting from hard to stomach that nerve will get irritated and it will leads to headache.
Avoid spicy sour foods and fruits for some days. Avoid sugar , aerated juices oil fried items , processed foods. Take boiled vegetables only.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms indicate a disturbance in your digestive fire (Agni) and an aggravation of Pitta dosha. Your history of stomach ulcer, which responded to omeprazole, suggests an excess of Pitta (acid and heat) in the stomach. Pitta imbalance can cause ulceration and burning sensations in the digestive tract.
The severe headaches, lightheadedness, claudy (cloudy) vision, and vertigo that accompany your ulcer symptoms may be due to a spillover of Pitta into the head region. This is why the headaches worsen with certain foods like raw groundnuts, mangoes, boiled yam, and garri—all of which can increase Pitta. When you took omeprazole, it helped by reducing stomach acidity, thus calming Pitta. However, as your body’s balance changes over time, the same treatment may not be as effective.
Since omeprazole now seems less effective and your headaches are returning with food triggers, it suggests that the underlying imbalance may have deepened or shifted. Your Agni (digestive fire) may be weak, leading to improper digestion and further aggravation of Pitta, which then manifests as headaches and other symptoms.
