Hi Mahas,
I’m sorry you’re going through this. Can you tell me more about your current lifestyle, such as your sleep patterns, diet, and stress levels? Also, do you experience any physical symptoms like fatigue, body aches, or digestive issues? Chronic anxiety and depression can sometimes be linked to imbalances in the body’s energy or hormones, and a comprehensive approach combining Ayurvedic herbs like Ashwagandha, Brahmi, and lifestyle adjustments might offer relief, but it’s important to address all aspects of health.
Start on 1.Medha kwatha -300 gms 1 teaspoon in 400 ML of water, boil up to hundred ML filter it and drink twice daily 1 hour before food 2.Tab Medha vati- One tablet twice daily after food with warm water 3.sarswath aristha-4 teaspoon with equal quantity of water twice daily after food Apply black colour to bottom thumb below nail for four hours daily. Let me know the result after three days
When it comes to dealing with chronic anxiety and depression, Ayurveda offers a unique perspective that’s quite different from allopathy or even regular herbal treatments. We look at the whole person — your mind, body, and spirit. It sounds like you’ve been through a lot already.
Firstly, let’s consider where imbalances might be happening in terms of your doshas. Anxiety often points to a vata imbalance, while depression can signal imbalances in kapha or sometimes even pitta. It’s like how wind (vata) creates restlessness, or when water (kapha) stagnates awfully, the result is sluggishness.
Food can be medicine here. Try increasing warm, cooked, and grounding foods. Think of root vegetables, whole grains like quinoa, and warm spices such as ginger and turmeric. Avoid excess stimulants - caffeine and sugar which may aggravate vata.
In terms of herbs: Ashwagandha might be really helpful as it is known to calm and strengthen both the mind and body. It’s adaptogenic, meaning it helps your body adapt to stress and restore balance. You could take it twice a day with milk.
Your daily routine, or dinacharya is vital. Set regular sleeping times, avoid screens before bed, and practice abhyanga, which is self-massage with warm sesame oil, in the mornings. It grounds vata almost like giving a hug to yourself every day. Also, yoga and pranayama techniques like nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing) can act as powerful tools to harmonize your energy.
Lastly, this isn’t something you’re expected to tackle alone. If you can, consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can provide more specific guidance tailored specifically for you. They could work with you personally to further refine these suggestions.
Remember, healing is a journey, and small consistent steps might just lead you to where you need to be. Be gentle with yourself during this time✌️.
