Hello Saurabh, To guide you better, could you share if you have undergone any recent medical tests like an ultrasound or stool test? Also, how long have you been experiencing these symptoms, and do you have a history of any other health conditions? In Ayurveda, we focus on balancing the digestive fire (Agni). For your condition, I would recommend including warm water, ginger tea, and easily digestible foods like cooked vegetables, oats, and brown rice. Avoid heavy, fried, and spicy foods that can aggravate your symptoms. Herbal remedies like Triphala, Haritaki, and Isabgol (Psyllium Husk) may also help in promoting regular bowel movement and improving digestion. It’s essential to tailor these recommendations according to your specific constitution (Prakriti) and imbalances.

Constipation and related gastro issues like acidity, bloating, gas, and IBS can be quite uncomfortable, though through Ayurveda's comprehensive approach we can aim for a balanced digestive system. In Ayurveda, this usually indicates an imbalance in vata dosha, and sometimes pitta as well. So let’s focus on calming down these doshas and strengthening agni or your digestive fire. For the food part, it's essential to opt for warm, soft, and cooked foods. You might want to avoid raw, cold, and excessively processed foods as they can be taxing on the digestion system. Favor selt foods that have a sweet, sour, and salty flavor profile, particularly those that are nourishing, like cooked whole grains - think rice or quinoa, and well-cooked vegetables such as squash, carrots, and beets. It's a good idea too to include ghee in your diet, as it acts as a natural lubricator and helps with constipation. Legumes should be cooked thoroughly, with spices such as cumin and hing (asafoetida), which can help alleviate gas. But try to limit your consumption of beans initially. Steer clear of spicy and oily foods, carbonated drinks, and consider minimizing alcohol and caffeine intake, which tend to cause acidity and other disturbances you’re facing. Sip on warm ginger tea, or have ajwain water to soothe digestive discomfort. For herbal remedies, one can consider Triphala churna taken with warm water before bed, as it is a gentle and effective aid for constipation. It balances all three doshas and promotes healthy digestion. As always though, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any herbal regimen. Implementing a routine can greatly help too, trying to have meals at the same time every day, reducing stress through practices such as pranayama or meditation, and getting regular, moderate exercise, such as yoga or walking, can all notably improve digestion. If symptoms persist or worsen, consulting with a healthcare professional is advisable. It’s fundamental that underlying conditions are ruled out or addressed promptly.
