Hi Muniba,

Can you describe the type of pain you experience during your periods and mid-cycle—sharp, cramp-like, or more of a dull ache? Do you notice any digestive discomfort or changes in your appetite during these times? How is your energy level overall?

Try Shatavari and Ashwagandha to support hormonal health and reduce stress. Turmeric and Ginger can also help reduce inflammation and improve circulation, which may ease your pain during cycles.

Muniba, Grade 3 Endometriosis with past surgeries and a failed IVF attempt indicates a need for a long-term hormonal balance, pain relief, and fertility support approach. Your left ovarian hemorrhagic cyst (4.6 mm) and painful cycles suggest ongoing inflammation and possible adhesion formation. Since your cycles are regular, the focus should be on reducing inflammation, shrinking cysts, managing pain, and improving fertility naturally.

You seem to be dealing with a multilayered health situation, which can demand both immediate relief and long-term management, particularly given the endometriosis and cyst concerns. Ayurveda looks at such conditions through the lens of dosha imbalance, dhatu (tissues) health, and improving the natural body’s healing processes. Given the fact that you have painful cycles and a persistent cyst, a personalized approach is essential.

First, addressing the regular painful periods and the presence of an ovarian cyst would point towards a Kapha and Vata dosha imbalance, particularly affecting the female reproductive system. According to classical Ayurvedic texts, pain signifies Vata disturbance. Efficient management may require treatments that pacify Vata and balance Kapha.

From a dietary perspective, nourishing foods that stabilize Vata are encouraged. Opt for warm, cooked meals incorporating spices like turmeric, ginger, and cumin, which are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. You might also benefit from consuming easily digestible foods, avoiding raw foods and those that are too cold or hard on the stomach.

Regular herbal supplements like Ashoka or Shatavari can help balance hormones and support uterine health. It’s essential, however, to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for proper dosage and to ensure these align with your specific constitution.

Lifestyle modifications can further support your healing. Regular mild exercise, like yoga or walking, aids in maintaining circulation and reducing Kapha’s heavy qualities. Stress management techniques such as deep breathing or meditation can also be beneficial, given stress can exacerbate Vata imbalances.

Applying a warm castor oil pack over the pelvic area might alleviate pain. Practice this for about 20-30 minutes, ideally a few days before your period to help with discomfort. Within this spectrum, fostering good rest, reducing stress and maintaining a routine can help stabilize erratic cycles.

Given the hemorrhagic nature of your cyst and history with IVF and surgeries, it’s also prudent to maintain regular check-ups with your healthcare provider. Immediate medical care should be a priority if any severe pain, acute symptoms, or abnormalities occur, as these cases often benefit from integrated approaches combining Western and traditional medicine.

The key is not just addressing symptoms alone but restoring overall balance and natural healing processes, aligning the body’s functions with nature’s rhythm.
