Your feelings of overwhelm and despair are taken very seriously, and it's crucial to address them promptly. The voices urging self-harm combined with the fear felt indicate you might be experiencing severe mental health challenges. While Ayurveda offers insight and support, the presence of suicidal thoughts or severe anxiety necessitates immediate professional help from mental health experts or medical doctors who are trained to handle such conditions safely and effectively. In the context of Ayurveda, feelings like you're describing might relate to an imbalance in the Vata dosha, which can cause mental instability, anxiety, and a disconnected feeling. One approach could be implementing strategies to balance this dosha, and these can be complementary to professional psychological help. Consider starting small, with some daily routines that ground and calm your system. Warm, oiled self-massage, known as Abhyanga, might be beneficial. Use sesame oil for its Vata-pacifying qualities. You can gently warm the oil and massage it onto your body each morning before a warm shower, if possible, to ground your mind and bring calmness. Pay attention to your diet too. Favor warm, moist, and grounding foods like cooked vegetables, whole grains, and hearty soups. Avoid excessive caffeine and raw or cold foods, as they can aggravate Vata. Engaging in light meditation or yoga can be helpful, focusing on grounding poses and slow, deep breathing to soothe your mind. These practices are not a substitute for medicinal or psychological interventions but may complement other treatments. Ensure you reach out to a mental health professional or counselor in addition to these Ayurvedic practices. Talk to someone you trust about how you're feeling. It's vital to seek support immediately, especially if the suicidal thoughts persist. You are not alone in this, and there is help available.
