As per my opinion first you should complete chemo. When it will be completed after it we can start for ayurvedic treatment. Here patient should follow a strict healthy diet like fruits and sprouts and millet based diet It should be liquid . Avoid - oily, processed food The other thingh is you should give him a herbal kadha of Peepal leaves(3-4 leaves) for 1st 3 days Neem leaves (3-4 leaves) for 2nd 3 days You can add cinnamon and kadhi patta leaves in it.
Take care of your diet avoid processed food dairy products sugar meda starch oil nonveg food Take fruits vegetables salad sprouts nuts seeds and millets Regular meditation Maharishi amrat kalash Arogyawardhini wati Giloyaghan vati Haridra tab Aamlaki rasayan Awla aloevera juice Bhumiaamlaki swaras Regular follow 3 month
In this challenging situation, integrating Ayurveda with conventional treatment, like chemotherapy, can occasionally support overall well-being. It’s crucial to remember that Ayurveda should complement not replace, conventional medical treatment, especially in serious conditions like liver cancer. Any addition or change in your relative’s regimen should be communicated with the oncology team to avoid interactions.
Firstly, in terms of Ayurvedic approach, enhancing the digestive fire or Agni, is fundamental. Due to the chemotherapy and liver dysfunction, the loss of appetite and fatigue can worsen and Ayurveda may offer gentle support in this regard. Start with simple foods that are easy to digest, such as mung dal khichdi – this soothing blend nourishes without taxing digestion. Ensure small, frequent meals rather than large ones to reduce strain on the digestive process.
To stimulate appetite, spices like ginger and black pepper can be beneficial. Get a piece of fresh ginger, sprinkle some black pepper and a pinch of rock salt over it, and take this 15 minutes before meals to help kindle Agni. Ginger tea, made with fresh ginger, may also alleviate nausea and boost digestion – brew it by boiling a few slices in water for 10 minutes and serve warm.
Triphala, an ancient Ayurvedic formulation, can help in supporting liver health and the body’s detoxification but should be used judiciously. Begin with a small amount—half a teaspoon at night with warm water—and observe effects, ensuring no conflicting drug interactions.
Regarding fatigue, rasayana (rejuvenative) herbs like Ashwagandha assist in enhancing energy levels and improving vitality. Consult with a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner for precise dosage as it’s important to consider the overall state, including mental and physical stress levels.
Herbal oils like bhringraj taila or neelibringadi can be gently massaged onto the scalp which aids in relieving stress and promoting relaxation, potentially improving sleep quality.
Now, about Punarjan hospital – without specific insights or testimonials, I can’t confidently evaluate their expertise, but visiting an institution renowned for integrating traditional and modern treatments, with proper credentials, could be valuable.
Ontime communication and consistent feedback with his healthcare provider, whether Ayurvedic or allopathic, is key for safe and effective integrative care. Balancing therapeutic interventions with his tolerance and energy levels should be the main priority.
