Your situation, describing sensitive digestion alongside symptoms of trapped gas and heat in the body, suggests an imbalance primarily in Pitta and Vata doshas. The rhinitis and bronchitis indicate an element of Kapha involvement too, aligning with your tridosha imbalance concerns. To address your digestive sensitivity without aggravating acidity, here are some Ayurvedic recommendations tailored to your needs. Begin by emphasizing cooling, grounding foods that are easy on digestion. Include kichadi; a simple mix of rice and mung dal, it's light but nourishing. Cooking it with cumin seeds and a pinch of asafoetida can help relieve gas without increasing heat, as these are milder than ajwain for sensitive stomachs. Incorporate ghee in small quantities—it soothes the digestive tract and promotes agni balance without exacerbating acidity. Integrated into your daily routine, some fenugreek seeds soaked overnight in water can be consumed in the morning. This can act as a natural antacid and help in reducing gas formation. Furthermore, freshly grated ginger, made into a paste with a pinch of rock salt and taken before meals, could aid your digestion gently; consider starting with a very small amount to gauge your tolerance. Avoid foods that are spicy, deep-fried, or overly sour—they enhance Pitta and can aggravate your symptoms. Prefer cooling liquids like coconut water and herbal teas with chamomile or mint which are cooling and can ease the internal heat. Pranayama exercises, such as Nadishodhana (alternate nostril breathing), may help with nasal blockages and calm the doshic imbalance of Kapha and Pitta—focus on slow, deep breaths to allow for thorough oxygenation and relaxation. As your digestion improves, check for any specific triggers of acidity, it could be beneficial to maintain a food diary, noting what you eat and corresponding symptoms. This would help you identify patterns or foods that exacerbate the sensitivity and gas issues. Remember, every individual is unique, so it is vital to monitor your body's response to these changes. If symptoms persist or worsen, seeking a local Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized advice is a wise choice. Your health must be prioritized, especially considering weight loss and respiratory symptoms.
