Amla (Indian Gooseberry) + Brahmi – Take ½ tsp daily with warm water to nourish hair from within. Ashwagandha -1/2 tsp with warm milk at night Triphala (½ tsp at bedtime) Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta) Juice or Powder –take with buttermilk or warm water. Eat black sesame seeds + jaggery (1 tsp daily). Drink fresh Amla juice or consume raw Amla daily. Include ghee, soaked almonds, walnuts, dates, and coconut in your diet. Avoid spicy, fermented, and processed foods, as they worsen Pitta. Henna + Indigo Powder – Natural remedy for greying (if you want to darken the hair naturally). Rinse hair with black tea or curry leaf water.

Premature greying can be a bit troublesome, especially when you're juggling studies and life. First things first, let's get to the root cause — stress indeed can play a role in affecting your hair health. From an Ayurvedic perspective, premature greying is often related to imbalances in the Pitta dosha. We'll focus on balancing your Pitta, nurturing your scalp, and ensuring your overall health is in sync. Diet plays a big role. Include Pitta-pacifying foods in your diet. Go for cooling and soothing foods like cucumber, melons, and sweet fruits. Bitter veggies like kale and spinach could also be great. Try to avoid spicy, acidic, and hot foods, which can increase Pitta. Next, consider taking Amla (Indian Gooseberry), which is a rich source of vitamin C and is known to support hair health. You can consume it as fresh fruit, juice, or even powdered form mixed with water. It's believed to help with both strengthening hair and enhancing natural color. Routine is key, touch base with your daily habits. Try to incorporate regular head massage using coconut oil or amla oil. Warm up the oil slightly and massage gently into your scalp for about 10-15 minutes before shampooing. This helps stimulate circulation and nourish your hair roots. Practicing stress-relief techniques like yoga or meditation might be beneficial as well. Even if it's just for 15-20 minutes a day, it can make a difference in reducing stress and its impact on your hair. Ensure you’re getting enough adequate sleep, it’s essential for proper body and hair health. Aim for 7-8 hours of quality sleep. Stay hydrated – drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body, scalp, and hair healthy. If you have access to Ayurveda practitioner, consult directly for personalized recommendations, especially if you're considering herbal supplements or treatments. Remember, changes take time – often noticeable results could take several months, so stay consistent with your approach.
