Your symptoms, including hair fall and scalp pain, when using the computer may be indicative of stress and strain potentially impacting your Vata dosha, which in Ayurveda can lead to hair issues. When you're experiencing these symptoms, it's important to consider not only herbal remedies but also lifestyle and dietary modifications. Firstly, applying a gentle scalp massage with warm oil, such as coconut or sesame oil, can be beneficial. You might want to try adding a few drops of Brahmi oil, known for its calming properties, to enhance the effect. Apply the oil before bed and leave it overnight if possible, then wash it out in the morning. This can help in calming the stressed nerves and improve scalp circulation. Regarding diet, try to include foods that balance Vata, like incorporating more sweet, sour, and salty tastes. Warm, moist foods like soups, stews, and porridges along with foods rich in omega fatty acids like flaxseeds, walnuts, and avocados can be helpful. Also, stay hydrated - drink warm herbal teas like ginger tea which can help to invigorate your agni or digestive fire. Consider practicing some relaxation techniques. Yoga and pranayama (breathing exercises) can be quite helpful in reducing stress levels. Especially spending at least 10 minutes a day on deep breathing exercises can help in calming your system down. As far as herbal supplements, Ashwagandha is known for its stress-reducing properties. Taking it as directed on the package might be worth considering. However, please consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to find the correct dosage for your constitution and needs. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is advised to consult an Ayurveda practitioner or healthcare provider for a personalized evaluation to rule out other underlying conditions. Also, maintain proper ergonomics when using the computer to avoid physical strain.
