Hello Shivendra ji Thank you for sharing your concern, I can understand how frustrating chronic knee pain can be — especially when it's affecting both legs with meniscus tear Grade 2. But dont worry we are here to help you out😊 **AYURVEDIC PERSEPECTIVE** In Ayurveda, your condition is related to Sandhigata Vata — where Vata dosha accumulates in joints, leading to: 1 Dryness (loss of cushioning) 2 Pain & stiffness 3 Degeneration of structures like cartilage and meniscus Grade 2 meniscal tear indicates internal fiber damage without complete rupture, which can be healed naturally with rest, medicines, and proper therapies. **PLAN OF TREATMENT** ✅ Internal Medicines 1 Gandha taila 10 drops in warm milk, morning empty stomach 2 Nucart OA 2-0-2 after food 3 zeptone plus 1-0-1 after food 4 GT cap 2 at bed time ✅PANCHAKARMA TREATMENT( VERY IMPORTANT) Sarvanga abhynga with Mahanaryana taila follwed by Dashmool. Parishekha Shasthika shali pinda sweda over knees Janu basti with kottamchukadi taila + mahanarayama taila Yoga basti - Niruha - erangamooladi niruha basti Anuvasna -panchatikta guggulu ghrita The Above treatments have to be done for 8 days and should be repeated every 6 months This will help to heal meniscus and strengthen the knee joints 3. Diet for Bone & Joint Healing ✅ Take: Warm, home-cooked food with ghee Methi seeds (soaked overnight) Sesame seeds, dates, almonds Moong dal, barley, leafy greens Milk boiled with turmeric and ashwagandha at night ❌ Avoid: Cold, dry foods (chips, biscuits, curd at night) Tomatoes, brinjal, potatoes in excess (inflammation-causing) Tea/coffee in excess Sleeping late or in AC airflow 4. Gentle Movements & Recovery Avoid weight-bearing exercise until inflammation reduces Practice gentle yoga like vajrasana (short time), leg raises, ankle rotation 🗓️3-month consistent protocol = visible improvement in stiffness & pain Your situation can be improved without surgery, especially since you're at Grade 2 level. Ayurveda focuses on strengthening the Asthi dhatu (bones) and reducing Vata, allowing natural repair and pain relief. Wishing you strong knees and pain-free movement soon Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Yes it can be well managed without surgery, but for that you need to undergo Ayurvedic treatments also like Abhyanga, potli treatments ,etc. Do visit a nearby Ayurvedic treatment center for these treatments. *internally please start, 1.Mustadi marma kwatham tab 2-0-2 before food 2.Lakshadi guggulu 1-0-1after food 3.Ganda taila caps 1-0-1after food with milk 4.Murivenna (taila) Apply over the knees /daily night , you can wrap the knees after taila application with cotton cloth and leave it for a night .

Certainly, managing a grade 2 meniscus tear through Ayurveda is possible, though it requires a comprehensive approach focusing on diet, lifestyle, and specific treatments. Surgery might be avoided, but this largely depends on the individual's condition and response to treatments. The meniscus tear often arises due to imbalances in the Vata dosha, which governs bodily movement and circulation. To address this imbalance, focus should be on stabilizing and grounding practices. Diet plays a crucial role: consume warm, nourishing foods that counteract Vata imbalances. Include moong dal, ghee, and cooked vegetables in your diet while avoiding cold, dry and processed foods. Regularly applying medicated oils such as Mahanarayan tailam can be very effective in reducing knee pain and inflammation. Before applying, warm the oil slightly. Gently massage your knees in circular motions, then wrap a warm cloth around them to help the oil penetrate deeply. Do this treatment daily if possible. Herbal formulations like Yograj Guggulu, Dashmoolarista or Rasnadi kashayam may be beneficial, but it’s crucial to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for doses specific to your constitution and severity of the condition. Each individual is unique and requires a tailored approach. Incorporating mild exercises, such as gentle yoga postures, can also be supportive. Focus on poses that strengthen the joints without straining them, like the warriors or gentle seated stretches. Practice them under supervision initially to ensure proper form and avoid further injury. Maintaining a routine that includes enough rest, especially during the Vata-predominant times of day (late afternoons and evenings), can help in the healing process. Hydration is another key, and drinking warm herbal teas like ginger or tulsi can further support your condition. Above all, consistent practice and patience are paramount. While Ayurveda provides a deeply holistic approach to healing, improvements might take some time. For severe symptoms or persistent pain, it is advisable to consult with both an orthopedic specialist and an Ayurvedic doctor to ensure a safe and effective recovery process.
