Ayurveda me isko “Kunakha” ya “Nakha Rog” se relate kiya jata hai, jisme Pitta + Vata dosha ka dushti hota hai.

Internal Medicines

Guduchi (Giloy) – immune-modulating, anti-inflammatory.

Ashwagandha – stress-control + immunity balance.

Manjistha – blood purifier + anti-inflammatory.

Amla – antioxidant + vitamin C source (collagen support). (Ye medicines ko ek Ayurvedic doctor ki guidance me dose ke saath lena chahiye)

External Care

Warm coconut oil + turmeric ka gentle massage nails par din me 1–2 baar.

Nail bed par aloe vera gel lagana raat ko.

Nail ko dry environment me rakhna — bar-bar paani me bheegne se bachayein.

Cotton gloves ka use jab bhi paani ka kaam karein.

3️⃣ Diet & Lifestyle

Avoid: Bahut spicy, sour, junk food, excessive tea/coffee, alcohol, smoking — ye Pitta badhate hain.

Include:

Fresh fruits (amla, pomegranate, papaya)

Green leafy vegetables

Nuts & seeds (walnuts, flaxseed)

Cow ghee (2–3 tsp/day) for lubrication & nail nourishment.

Stress control: Yog, pranayama (Anulom-Vilom, Sheetali).

Aap nearest ayurvedacharya ko dikha sakte hain to consult karlein, wo aur behtar hoga.

Nail lichen planus, ek chronic condition hai jo Ayurvedic drishti kone se zyada tawajjo ki maang karti hai kyunki iska root cause sahi sahi samjha jaye to hi ise effectively treat kiya jaa sakta hai. Ye rog vata-pitta dosha ke imbalance se sambandhit hota hai, aur nail bed ki prakriti ko disturb kar deta hai.

Ayurved me vata ko sthir karna aur pitta ko shant karna zaroori hota hai aise condition me. Iske liye aap Gandhak Rasayan aur Triphala churn mathra 3-4 gram raat ko garam paani ke sath le sakte hain. Ye ajanam se pachak kriya ko bhi sudhrege aur rog pratibandh shakti ko badhaenge.

Raktashodhak ka kaam bhi badiya tariqe se hona chahiye. Iske liye aap khadirarisht aur manjistha kwath ka istemal kar sakte hain. Khadirarisht ko 20 ml matra me paani ke sath din me do baar piye. Manjistha kwath ko ghar par bana ke, har roz le na chahiye, ye khoon ko shuddh karne me madad karta hai.

Ahara me apko adrak, jeera, hing ko include karna chahiye kyunki ye vata aur pitta ko control karne me madad karte hain. Harkise acidic or spicy foods se bachne ki jarurat hai. Fresh fruits and vegetables, especially leafy greens apki diet me zarur hone chahiye.

Lifestyle me vata control ke liye daily abhyanga (oil massage) ke saath agar avashyak ho, to bhringraj taila ka prayog bhi nail beds par kar sakte hain. Yog aur pranayama bhi labhdayak hote hain.

Agar withdrawal symptoms ya kisi bhi prakaar ki khinch, jalan mahsoos ho to turant Ayurveda ke kisi expert se consult karein, ye personal observation ka maamla ban sakta hai. Apne daily routine me kisi bhi major change ke liye, apne health condition ko dhyan me rakhte hue, sambhavit side effects ko dhyan me rakhe.

Nail lichen planus, a condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s own cells, affecting the nails, can indeed be persistent and frustrating. Within the Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, this condition is often seen as an imbalance in the Pitta and Vata doshas, leading to inflammation and structural changes in the nails. Integrated treatment focuses on soothing these doshas and promoting healthy nail regeneration.

First, incorporate dietary adjustments to balance the Pitta and Vata doshas. Reduce intake of spicy, hot, and oily foods, as they can aggravate Pitta. Instead, favor a diet rich in cooling, hydrating foods—like cucumber, coconut, and sweet, juicy fruits. Include cooked vegetables, whole grains, and adequate proteins to support the sapta dhatus (the seven body tissues).

Next, external application of coconut oil mixed with a pinch of turmeric on the nails can help soothe inflammation and promote healing—apply twice daily. You might also consider a paste made from Triphala powder and water applied to nails; this has detoxifying and rejuvenating properties.

Internally, taking a daily dose of Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia) can be quite beneficial for its immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties. Taking Guduchi as a decoction or in capsule form can aid in calming the immune response.

Pranayama and stress-reducing practices like meditation can further balance Vata and Pitta, which are key in managing chronic inflammatory conditions. A guided practice of Anulom Vilom or Nadi Shodhana Pranayama for 10-15 minutes daily may enhance overall well-being.

It’s also vital to maintain nail hygiene to prevent secondary infections. Keep nails short and dry, avoid using nail polish and artificial nails that may worsen the condition. Remember, while these practices may aid in managing and possibly improving the condition over time, consulting a professional for a personalized assessment is always recommended. Persistent or worsening symptoms should be reviewed by a healthcare provider.
