Persistent Numbness and Mental Distress in the Penis - #51459

Client_06bab2

I am a 21-year-old male experiencing persistent numbness of the penis, primarily in the glans and under the foreskin. This started in October 2025 and has continued until now. I do not feel touch, temperature, or sexual pleasure in the affected area. Key details: Erections are present and strong, both spontaneous (morning/nocturnal) and during sexual stimulation, but I cannot feel them. Ejaculation is normal. There is no pain, swelling, lesions, or visible abnormalities. I had tingling sensations in the penis prior to the numbness, which may indicate nerve irritation. Symptoms persist despite abstinence from masturbation for 5–6 days. There are no other neurological symptoms (e.g., numbness elsewhere, weakness, loss of bladder or bowel control). My lifestyle includes frequent masturbation over several months prior to numbness onset, but no injury or trauma. The numbness has caused significant mental health distress, including anxiety, intrusive thoughts, panic, sleep disturbance, and difficulty concentrating, which affects my daily functioning.iam sucidal and depressed because of this

How would you describe the severity of your numbness?:

- Severe, constant numbness

Have you experienced any changes in your mental health since the numbness began?:

- Severe depression and suicidal thoughts

Have you made any lifestyle changes since the onset of numbness?:

- Reduced masturbation frequency

–Your symptoms of penile numbness with preserved erections and normal ejaculation suggest a possible temporary sensory nerve irritation, most commonly involving the dorsal nerve of the penis (a branch of the pudendal nerve). This can sometimes occur due to repeated friction, pressure, or pelvic floor tension. The absence of pain, injury, or other neurological symptoms is reassuring. However, persistent numbness should be evaluated by a urologist or neurologist to assess nerve function and rule out treatable causes. Many cases improve with rest and proper management. —1. Internal Medicines 1)Ashwagandha Churna – 3 g with warm milk, BD after meals 2)Brahmi Vati – 1 tab BD after meals 3)Kaunch Beej Churna – 3 g with milk HS 4)Chandraprabha Vati – 2 tab BD ----2. External Therapy Local gentle massage with Mahanarayan Taila once daily. —3. Pathya Avoid excessive masturbation and friction. Reduce long sitting and stress. Light exercise, yoga, and adequate sleep. Warm, nourishing diet (milk, ghee, nuts). —4. Follow-up Review after 2–3 weeks.
