Erection issues can be quite complex, often involving both physical and psychological aspects. From an Ayurvedic perspective, your symptoms suggest a potential imbalance or weakness in the vata dosha, which governs movement and bodily processes. Discomfort in your testes and pelvic region historically, as you mentioned, could have impacted the apana vayu, a subdosha of vata responsible for movement in the pelvic area.
To address this, I recommend emphasizing diet and lifestyle that pacifies vata. Ensure you consume warm, well-cooked meals with a good balance of oils. Favor grounding foods such as sweet potatoes, carrots, and green leafy vegetables which are rich in fiber and nutrients. Avoid cold, dry, leftover foods and stimulants like caffeine and nicotine, as they can aggravate vata imbalance.
Practicing yoga asanas can be beneficial to increase circulation in the pelvic area, focusing on poses like bhujangasana (cobra pose) and dhanurasana (bow pose). However, avoid overexertion or forceful practice. Regularity and gentle movements can improve strength and flexibility, assisting circulation and neurological function, which might support improvements in erection.
Ashwagandha, in powder or capsule form, may also be beneficial. It is known for balance vata and improving strength and stamina. Take 500 mg twice daily with warm milk, ideally in the morning and before sleep.
In cases where stress or anxiety might be impacting sexual health, a daily routine of meditation or deep breathing exercises before bed may assist in reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation.
Ultimately, consult a qualified healthcare professional to rule out underlying issues that might require specific medical attention. While Ayurveda can support many aspects of health, certain conditions necessitate precise diagnosis by specialists to ensure appropriate treatment.

Your situation might involve disruptions in the balance of vata energy, specifically affecting the apana vata — which is responsible for the downward movement and functioning of reproductive organs. Disorders in apana vata can lead to issues with erection, especially in a standing position where gravitational forces come into play. The discomfort and past pain in the testes and pelvis may have disturbed the pelvic region, affecting energy flow, impacting your ability to sustain an erection while standing. Here’s a structured approach you might consider:
First, focus on adjusting your diet to balance vata by incorporating warm, nourishing foods with good fats like ghee and sesame oil. Avoid cold, dry, or processed foods, which can aggravate vata. Drink warm herbal teas or water with ginger to support digestion.
Daily practices of pranayama, especially nadi shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), can help in regulating energy flow through the nadis, potentially improving your condition over time. Aim for 10 minutes twice a day.
Include specific herbs like ashwagandha and shilajit. Both are known to support reproductive health and energy levels. Ashwagandha can be taken as a powder mixed with warm milk before bedtime; shilajit can be consumed as per recommended doses on the package or advisement from an Ayurvedic practitioner.
Additionally, practice specific yoga postures like Pavanamuktasana and Bhujangasana to strengthen and tone the pelvic region, enhancing blood flow and energy.
If symptoms persist or interfere significantly with your daily life, consider consulting with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized treatment, and rule out any underlying physical condition that might require further intervention.
