Irregular periods along with symptoms like acne and hair fall can often be linked to hormonal imbalances, commonly observed in conditions like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). When periods turned regular during your previous treatment, it may be that your body responded well to the therapy, but underlying imbalances might still persist. Ayurveda offers explanations through dosha imbalances, primarily involving vata and kapha doshas. Irregular periods can be a sign of aggravated vata, while acne and hair fall often suggest a role of excess kapha and pitta.

To address this, firstly, attention to your diet can be very helpful. Include more warm, cooked foods that are easy to digest to pacify vata. Embrace whole grains, vegetables like carrots and beets, and lean proteins like lentils. Avoid cold, raw, and processed foods that disturb digestion. For kapha and pitta, reduce oily, spicy, and overly sweet foods. Drinking warm herbal teas such as ginger, cumin, or cinnamon can aid digestion.

Daily lifestyle habits are also crucial. Incorporate a routine that includes self-care practices like Abhyanga (oil massage) with sesame or coconut oil before bathing, which can balance vata and nourish your skin and hair. Consider practicing yoga or light exercises, which helps in improving circulation and reducing stress, thus supporting hormonal balance. Surya namaskar and meditation can be particularly helpful.

Specific Ayurvedic herbs may also aid in restoring balance. Ashwagandha supports hormonal health and stress management. Shatavari, known for nourishing the reproductive system, can be beneficially. Triphala may improve digestive health and cleanse the system.

However, it is essential to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner to tailor these recommendations to your specific constitution. If symptoms persist, further hormonal investigation or consultancy with a healthcare professionl might be necessary to rule out conditions like PCOS or thyroid issues. Always prioritize safety and do not delay seeking medical attention if you feel it’s needed.

Irregular periods, acne, and hair fall are often linked to imbalances in your body’s doshas, particularly involving vata and pitta. Since you’ve experienced these symptoms before, it’s a good idea to address the root cause and maintain balance through a combination of diet, lifestyle, and herbal interventions.

Firstly, focusing on your diet can be crucial. Avoiding foods that aggravate vata and pitta doshas is important. This means reducing overly spicy, oily, or processed foods, and instead incorporating more grounding and cooling foods such as whole grains, leafy greens, and root vegetables. Drinking herbal teas like fennel or spearmint can be soothing for both the digestive system and doshic balance.

Herbal remedies can also be beneficial. Shatavari is known to support female reproductive health and could be useful in promoting healthy menstrual cycles. Triphala, with its gentle detoxifying properties, helps regulate digestion and can support hormonal balance. You can take Triphala at bedtime with warm water.

Regarding lifestyle, incorporating yoga and pranayama into your daily routine can help calm both vata and pitta imbalances by promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Specific asanas like Baddha Konasana (Butterfly Pose) and Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) can enhance reproductive health.

It’s crucial to monitor your symptoms. If your periods remain irregular or if the acne and hair fall worsen, consider consulting with a healthcare professional to rule out conditions like PCOS or hormonal disorders. In the meantime, commit to these gentle, consistent practices, and they might provide the balance and relief you are seeking.
