Hello Malini ji,
Thank you for sharing your detailed health history with me — it sounds like you’ve been through quite a lot with your long-standing Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), multiple surgeries, and now the recent H. pylori infection confirmed by endoscopy.
Since you’re already receiving allopathic treatment, I want to reassure you that Ayurvedic support can be safely integrated into your care. This can help enhance your digestion, ease gastric irritation, and work to prevent any recurrence.
✅ AYURVEDIC TREATMENT PLAN
✅ INTERNAL MEDICATION
1. Sootshekhar Rasa 1-0-1 after meals – this will help alleviate hyperacidity and burning sensations.
2. Avipattikar Churna ½ at bedtime with warm water – a gentle laxative that balances pitta and relieves acidity.
3. Kamdugh (mauthik yukta) 1-0-1 before meals – this soothes the gastric mucosa and protects the lining.
✅ DIET MODIFICATION
Try to eat small, frequent, warm meals and avoid long gaps between them.
Avoid: tea, coffee, fried foods, packaged snacks, pickles, chili, and excessive citrus.
Include: Warm rice gruel (Kanji), Moong dal, and boiled vegetables. Fruits like pomegranate, amla, and ripe bananas, along with a small amount of ghee. Cumin, coriander, and fennel water to aid digestion.
✅ LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION
Sip on jeera–dhaniya–saunf water throughout the day. Chew 5–7 Tulsi leaves in the morning for their mild antibacterial properties. Enjoy Licorice tea (½ tsp Yashtimadhu boiled in water). Incorporate deep breathing and meditation into your routine to help reduce stress-related acid secretion.
✅ For RA & H. pylori together
Be cautious with painkillers, as they can worsen gastritis. Focus on maintaining gut health by having buttermilk with a pinch of roasted jeera and rock salt daily.
✅ Important Note Given your RA and history of surgeries, please do not discontinue your allopathic antibiotics for H. pylori — Ayurveda will serve as a supportive therapy to help prevent recurrence.
Keep an eye on your hemoglobin, liver function, and RA markers.
Avoid trying too many herbs at once; it’s best to take things step by step with guidance.
Wishing you good health! 😊
Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

HELLO MALINI ,
WHAT IS H. PYLORI? -Helicobacter pylori is a spiral-shaped bacteria that lives in the stomach lining. -It can survive stomach acid and cause gastritis (inflammation of stomach), ulcers, indigestion, bloating, nausea, and burning sensation -long term untreated infection may increase risk of ulcers or rarely stomach cancer
IN YOUR CASE -You already have Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and multiple surgeries -Pain, weakness, acidity, and digestion problems were thought to be due to menopause, but endoscopy showed H. pylori -So, the main issue is stomach inflammation + bacterial infection = low immunity due to chronic illness
TREATMENT GOALS -Kill H. pylori bacteria (Alloapthy-antibiotivs, Ayurveda= krimighna and gut friendly medications -heal stomach lining- reduces acidity, burning, gastritis - balance digestion= prevent bloating, indigestion -support immunity= important since RA, and H.pylori both affect immunity -lifestyle correction= diet, yoga, stress relief to prevent recurrence

Given the complex medical history and ongoing issues, it’s important to manage H. pylori infection carefully while complementing allopathic treatment with Ayurveda. For H. pylori, conventional treatment usually involves a combination of antibiotics and acid-suppressing medications. However, Ayurveda can support digestion and reduce discomfort.
Start by integrating Triphala, a traditional herbal formulation, known to promote digestive health and balance. Taking a half teaspoon with warm water before bedtime can assist in regulating digestion and promoting gut health. Additionally, including ginger and licorice root in your diet can also help. Ginger can be taken by boiling small slices in water to make tea, consumed twice a day. Licorice root powder can be mixed with a little warm water and consumed before meals.
Diet plays a crucial role too. Emphasize on consuming easily digestible, warm, and soothing foods like khichadi (a mix of rice and lentils), and avoid spicy, oily, or acidic foods which may irritate the stomach lining. Introducing small meals that include foods like ripe bananas, boiled vegetables, and oatmeal can help soothe the digestive tract.
Mild exercises and yoga, such as Surya Namaskar or gentle stretching, can stimulate Agni (digestive fire) and help in promoting overall health. Practices like Pranayama support relaxation and can reduce stress, a contributing factor to digestive issues.
However, it’s important to monitor the effectiveness of these practices and work closely with a healthcare provider to ensure that any severe symptoms are addressed promptly. H. pylori can sometimes require rigorous medical attention, so ensure that routine check-ups are in place alongside these ayurvedic measures. Always consult with an allopathic doctor before making any new changes, as you may have specific contraindications due to your complex medical history.
