how to extend sex time - #39579

Logan

I am trying to figure out how to extend sex time because lately, it’s been kinda frustrating. Like, I’m in my early 30s and my partner and I have been together for a while now, but I feel like things are slipping. I mean, it shouldn’t feel like a race, right? We used to have great times, but now I end up finishing way sooner than I want. I don't know if it's stress or maybe my diet or something? I’ve also been feeling not super energetic. Last week we tried to spice it up a bit, thinking that might help us, but it didn't really make a difference – I’m still left wondering how to extend sex time. Tried some breathing exercises, but it just feels awkward sometimes, y'know? Also, my friend suggested Kegels, but like, are they really effective for guys? I feel like I’m putting pressure on myself to perform which might be making it worse. I’ve been seeing so many tips online about how to extend sex time, but I wonder if there are more natural or Ayurvedic methods I could try? Any advice would be great. I just want to feel confident and enjoy it again without always worrying about the clock!

Ayurveda offers some well-rounded approaches to extending sex time, emphasizing both physical and mental well-being. Stress, diet, and lifestyle can significantly impact sexual performance, so let’s explore Ayurvedic tips that might just help you out.

Firstly, diet plays a vital role in sexual health. Incorporate foods that boost Agni (digestive fire) such as warm spices like ginger, black pepper, and cumin into your meals. Consider including aphrodisiac foods like almonds, honey and saffron, which are renowned in Ayurveda for enhancing vigor. A bowl of milk with saffron and a pinch of nutmeg before bedtime can be particularly soothing and beneficial.

Herbs like Ashwagandha and Shatavari can also be helpful. Ashwagandha is a revered rejuvenator that aids in stress reduction and boosts stamina. Shatavari balances the Pitta Dosha, ensuring that your energy and vitality remain steady. You can find these in the form of powders or capsules, aiming for a daily dose; consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner for precise guidance on usage is advisable.

Mental relaxation is equally important. Practicing mindfulness meditation can help reduce anxiety related to performance. This might sound repetitive but meditation can noticeably calm the mind and enhance your focus during intimate moments.

Regarding Kegels, they can indeed be effective for men too! Strengthening the pubococcygeus muscle through these exercises may enhance control and delay ejaculation. Consistency is key, so practice them daily—aim for a pattern of squeezing, holding, and releasing.

Additionally, cultivating balance between work and relaxation is crucial. Ensure you get adequate sleep and avoid over-exertion to maintain optimal energy levels. Establishing a routine may also ease performance pressure; consider discussing openly with your partner to alleviate stress.

Remember, these lifestyle modifications require time and patience. If you experience persistent issues, consulting a healthcare professional is wise to rule out any underlying medical conditions. Don’t feel disheartened—aligning with Ayurvedic principles could potentially bring joy and confidence back into your intimate life.
