i am 39 years old. i felt treamor in my hand. my left hand shake more then my right hand . my throid report is ohk.what shoould i do.

Tremors can be influenced by various factors, including Vata imbalances according to Ayurveda. Vata dosha, which governs movement in the body, may be aggravated, leading to involuntary shakiness.

First, ensure you’re having regular meals to maintain stable energy levels. Include warm, cooked foods rich in sweet, sour, and salty tastes as these pacify Vata. Foods like whole grains (rice, quinoa), root vegetables (sweet potatoes, carrots), and healthy fats (ghee, sesame oil) can help stabilize the dosha. Avoid cold drinks and raw foods, which can aggravate Vata.

Consider incorporating Ashwagandha, a revered adaptogen, known for reducing stress and stabilizing nerves. Take it as a powder or capsule, up to 500 mg daily, but always consult with a healthcare provider first to rule out contraindications.

Practicing Abhyanga, self-massage with warm sesame oil, can significantly calm the nervous system. Massage your body before showering, focusing on the limbs and particularly, the left hand; do this daily or at least thrice a week.

Regular routine is crucial. Aim for consistent sleep patterns, going to bed by 10 PM to promote a restful night. Incorporate relaxation techniques such as Pranayama or gentle yoga to support balance within the nervous system. Bhramari or Nadi Shodhana can be particularly helpful for soothing excess Vata.

Stress management is vital—consider engaging in activities that bring you joy and reduce anxiety. Reduce consumption of caffeine and stimulants as they might exacerbate the tremors.

Importantly, if the shaking persists or worsens, it’s imperative to seek further medical evaluation to rule out neurological conditions. Ayurveda provides a supportive framework, but ensuring comprehensive medical assessment is equally essential for your well-being.
