I have a problem with my back. I was in the mountain part last week and did a painful jump. Now my back hurts when I move.

Firstly, applying warm sesame oil to the affected area might provide some relief. Sesame oil is regarded in Ayurveda for its warming and nourishing properties. Gently massage the oil onto your back for 5-10 minutes, two times a day, to soothe strained muscles. The warmth from the oil can calm the Vata and promote circulation, assisting in healing.

Ensure to get adequate rest, avoid any strenuous activities that might exacerbate the issue, and engage in gentle stretches to maintain flexibility. Pavanamuktasana or wind-relieving pose is a simple yoga practice that can relieve tension in the back, perform it gently to avoid any strain.

For internal balance, consider taking a Vata-pacifying herbal remedy like ashwagandha, which is known for its rejuvenating qualities. You can consume it as a powder mixed with warm milk before bed, which can promote relaxation and support your back’s recovery process.

Be attentive to your body’s signals; if the pain persists or intensifies, it’s prudent to seek a healthcare professional’s evaluation. Sometime physical interventions may be required if there’s serious injury. Never overlook severe or ongoing pain, as it could suggest a more serious condition that needs urgent attention.
