Namaste. Your symptoms suggest aggravated Pitta dosha causing Amla Pitta (acid reflux). Ayurvedic Chikitsa: Internal Remedies: Avipattikar Churna: 1 tsp with warm water before meals to neutralize acid. Shankh Bhasma: 125 mg with honey twice daily to soothe digestion. Diet (Ahara): Eat small, frequent meals. Avoid lying down immediately after eating. Include cooling foods like coconut water, buttermilk, and boiled rice. Avoid spicy, sour, and fried foods. Lifestyle (Vihara): Sleep with your head elevated to prevent reflux. Perform Sheetali Pranayama for cooling Pitta dosha.

Acid reflux can be quite frustrating, especially when it decides to disrupt sleep. Sounds like, you might be dealing with "pitta" imbalance here, as per Ayurveda. You see, pitta governs digestion and metabolism. When it's out of whack, it tends to create excess heat and acidity in the body. One thing to try is to adjust your eating habits a bit. Avoid spicy, oily, and fried foods—they can aggravate pitta and lead to more acid reflux. You'll wanna stick to lighter foods, like cooked veggies and whole grains. Eating dinner a couple of hours before lying down helps a lot too. Gives your digestive fire, or "agni," some time to do its thing properly. Another thing you might find helpful, when trying to get comfy for sleep, is to elevate your head a bit. This can stop the acid from finding its way up your esophagus. And, about lying on your right side—try the left instead. There's a simple reason... the stomach's structure is kinda shaped to keep things where they should be when you’re on your left. Consider sipping on some warm water with a pinch of turmeric or ginger during the day. Helps calm down that pitta. Also, good ol' aloe vera juice can be a lifesaver. Take a tablespoon before meals—it cools and soothes your system. You can find it in most health food stores. Stress can be sneaky too; it silently exacerbates pitta dosha, leading to more reflux. Maybe give meditation or pranayama a shot? Nothing too complex, even a few minutes daily can help balance your doshas. If the discomfort sticks around despite giving these a try, it’d be smart to check in with a doc just to be sure nothing more serious is goin' on. Remember, listening to your body and its cues is key. And always safety first, ok?
