HELLO, You are suffering from -long standing gastric problems -excessive gas and bloating -enlarged abdomen due to gas -associated back pain, leg pain, and weight issues This condition is typically caused by weak digestive fire (agni) and vata imbalance in Ayurveda. Vata is the principle of movement in the body, and when it becomes imbalanced in the digestive system, it can cause -gas formation -bloaitng -irregular bowel movements -abdominal discomfort -secondary issues like back pain, joint pain, and heaviness due to improper metabolism Other contributing factors can include -poor dietary habit (cold, processed, or heavy foods) -low water intake -lack of physical activity -stress AYURVEDIC VIEW -AAMA FORMATION= undigested food turns into toxins , causing heaviness and bloating -VATA AGGRAVATION= leads to irregular gut motility, gas and discomfort -PITTA OR KAPHA INVOLVEMENT= if digestion continues, acidity(pitta) or heaviness/sluggish digestion (kapha) may develop TREATMENT GOALS -correct digestive fire to improve metabolism -eliminate toxins to reduce bloating and discomfort -balance Vata Dosha to regulate gas formation and intestinal movement -reduce associated symptoms :- back pain, leg pain, overweight issues -prevent recurrence by improving diet, lifestyle, and digestion INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp at bedtime with warm water for 2 months =detoxifies the digestive tract, improves bowel movement, reduces constipation and gas 2) HINGWASTAKA CHURNA= 1/2 tsp after meals with warm water for 1 month =reduces bloating, flatulence, and heaviness in the stomach 3) AJWAIN + SAUNF + BLACK SALT= 1 tsp mixture with warm water after meals for 1 month =stimulates digestion, relieves gas and acidity 4) TRIKATU CHURNA= 1/2 tsp with honey before meals for 1 month =enhances digestive fie , improves metabolism 5) DHANWANTRAM TAILA (if constipation is severe)= 1 tsp at bedtime for 2 weeks = supports regular bowel movement and balances vata 6) KUTKI CHURNA= 1/2 tsp with warm wate for 1 month =detoxifies liver, improves digestion, reduce systemic inflammation EXTERNAL THERAPIES 1) OIL MASSAGE ABDOMEN AREA -use warm sesame oil -gently massage abdomen in clockwise direction to reduce gas and improve digestion 2) WARM COMPRES= apply warm water bag or wheat bad to abdomen to relieve bloating and discomfort LIFESTYLE CHANGES 1) DAILY ROUTINE -wake u early, avoiding skipping meals -maintain regular bowel habits -avoid late night eating 2)EXERCISE -light walking 20-30 min after meals -gentle stretches or yoga for abdominal mobility 3) STRESS MANAGEMENT -meditation or mindfulness practices to reduce stress induce digestive issues YOGA AND PRANAYAM -pawanmuktasnaa= relieves trapped gas and bloaitng -bhujangasana= improves digestive fire, relieves back pain -vajrasana= helps in proper digestion if done after meals -supta matsyendrasana= stimulates intestines, reduces bloaitng -anulom vilom= balance vata, reduces stress -kapalbhati= improves digestion, stimulates intestines DIET -warm, cooked, easily digestive foods -rice, moong dal, vegetables, soups, stews -spices= cumin, coriander, fennel, ginger -seasonal fruits= papaya , pomegranate, apple (peeled and cooked if sensitive) AVOID -cold,raw salat -carbonated drinks, fried foods, heavy dairy, excess sugar -junk and processed foods HOME REMEDIES -warm water with 1/2 tsp ajwain and pinch of black salt -fennel seeds tea after meals -ginger tea with a little honey Persistent gas and bloating are usually caused by weak digestion, vata imbalance, and toxin accumulation Ayurveda focuses on correcting , detoxifying and balancing doshas rather than just suppressing symptoms Consistency in diet, lifestyle , herbal remedies, and yoga is key to Long term relief DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. Hello I totally get how annoying long-term tummy troubles like bloating can be. It’s not just about your digestion; it can mess with your body shape, give you back and leg pain, and just make life less enjoyable. When your belly’s always puffed up because of gas, it’s a clear sign that something’s not right deep down with your digestion. AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING In Ayurveda, what you’re describing sounds like Ajeerna + Adhmana + Vata-Kapha imbalance. Basically: –Your digestive fire (Agni) is weak and acting up. –Undigested food (Ama) is turning into gas. –Trapped Vata is making your stomach swell. –All that bloating puts pressure on your spine, causing back and leg pain. –Your metabolism slows down, and weight can pile on. –Popping gas pills might give you a quick fix, but they actually weaken your Agni over time. AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT 1. Cleanse (Shodhana – maybe later) If this has been going on for ages, a gentle cleanse with Virechana or Basti, guided by an Ayurvedic doc, can bring lasting relief. (For now, let’s start with the daily things below.) 2. Daily Medicines (Shamana) You could try these classic, safe medicines (just check if they’re available where you are): Hingvastak Churna – ½ teaspoon before lunch and dinner with warm water. Avipattikar Churna – ½ teaspoon at night after eating. Triphala Churna – ½ teaspoon with warm water before bed. Jeerakarishta – 15 ml with the same amount of warm water after meals. They help cut down on gas, get your digestion moving, and slowly flatten that bloated tummy. DIET PLAN ✔️ Try to eat: Warm, freshly made food Rice, moong dal, bottle gourd, ridge gourd Buttermilk with roasted jeera and hing (only during the day) Herbal tea with jeera, ajwain, and saunf ❌ Stay away from: Cold foods, yogurt at night Fried stuff, bakery treats, packaged foods Tea or coffee when your stomach’s empty Eating super late or too much Raw salads at night 👉 Only eat when you’ve digested your last meal. LIFESTYLE. CHANGE Walk for 10–15 minutes after you eat. Don’t lie down right away after meals. Do these exercises: Pawanmuktasana Vajrasana after eating Anulom Vilom Pranayama (10 minutes every day) SIMPLE HOME TRICK

Have ½ teaspoon of ajwain + a pinch of hing boiled in water after meals. At night, warm up some castor oil, rub it on your belly, and massage gently in circles. This can be a long road, but you can totally manage it by consistently fixing your digestion with Ayurveda. As the gas goes down: –Your belly will get smaller –Your back and leg pain will feel better –It’ll be easy to lose weight Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate
