Determining Food Triggers for Inflammatory Arthritis - #48950
I am having inflammatory arthritis causing pain and stiffness in cervical area lifting the neck up giving me a mild pain so taking ayurvedic therapies of abhyanga yoga basti patra potli swedana and stiffness and pain reduced and started navarakizi (ssps) today and the stiffness and pain increased So I am thinking that milk and rice from therapy increased my stiffness orI am just doubting i want to rule out this doubt i have to continue taking ssps treatment and focusing on the foods to eliminate and not sure which foods are triggering the symptoms either wheat or milk or fried items

Doctors' responses
Stop / reduce Navarakizhi (SSPS) for now – it can increase stiffness if āma is present. Continue Patra Potli Swedana + Yoga Basti. Medicines Simhanada Guggulu: 1 tab twice daily after food (warm water) Rasna Erandadi Kashayam: 15 ml + 15 ml warm water, twice daily before food Diet (2 weeks) Avoid: milk, curd, wheat, fried foods Eat: rice, moong dal, cooked vegetables, ginger, warm water ➡️ Pain increase is likely from therapy timing, not imagination. Navarakizhi can be restarted later once pain settles.
