I am really curious if poha is good for health because I’ve been eating it a lot lately. Last month, I started working out more and wanted to change up my breakfast routine. My friend recommended poha, saying it’s light and packed with nutrients, so I bought some. At first, I felt great, but now I’m not sure if it's still doing me any good. I've noticed I sometimes feel a bit bloated after eating it, and I've been having these weird cravings later in the day. Is poha good for health really or is it just that I don't know how to balance it with what else I eat? I mean, I try to add some veggies and peanuts, but there are days when I just toss it with some spices. Is there any specific way I should be preparing it to make sure poha is good for health? Or are there any signs I should look out for to know if it’s not working for me? Thanks!

First, let’s address the preparation. Adding vegetables to poha is excellent, as they contribute fiber, vitamins, minerals, and balance the meal. Try incorporating ingredients like peas, carrots, or spinach, which can enhance both the taste and nutritional value. Peanuts provide some healthy fats and protein, making it a more balanced meal. Use spices that support digestion, such as cumin or mustard seeds, and perhaps a dash of turmeric for its anti-inflammatory properties.

The bloating you experience might be due to an imbalance in your doshas, particularly vata or kapha.
